Oh this is the best clock ever ! The numbers are large and so easy to see - even from across the room. It's lit up, it tell morning, afternoon, evening and night and also gives you the date. My husband has trouble remembering if it is day or night and he has difficulty seeing other clocks. This one has helped him so much and I like it too. I highly recommend this clock. Oh - and it runs on electric but has a battery backup. When our power went out a couple weeks ago we really missed not being able to see that clock. The clock is very simple to set up, and settings are straightforward and easy to adjust. The display is vivid and find that the green is easier on the eyes. The wood colored frame give it a familiar warmth rather than black or white. My parents love this clock for ease of reading at night. This worked well for a resident of mine with dementia. She was struggling to understand what time of day it was, and being able to have a quick read of the AM/PM and date was super helpful for her to orient. It's a bit inconvenient that it has to be plugged in instead of battery powered, but otherwise I have no complaints. We bought this clock for our homebound dad. Being disabled and indoors nearly all the time he tends to lose track of what time of day and/or day of the week it is. Since putting this clock a short distance from his bed he knows what day and time easily and never has to even think about it. It has been a big help to him and relieved some stress since he constantly worried it was too early or late and he was never quite sure.
