This is the second one I've bought in 4 years. After 4 winters of working steadily from early November to around May 1st, my first one gave up the ghost. My previous high dollar humidifier died, so not wanting to invest a lot of money again, I decided to try the Comfort Zone model. It works well, is very quiet, and the price was right. Only minor complaint is I have to remember to remove the deflector, which isn't attached, and drain the recess before I refill the tank. Read more
I love this humidifier. We live in hot AZ and this is great for a single room himidifer. For the cost you cannot find a better quality item. There is no filter and really easy to adjust humidity and speed much better than others I have bought. It comes with a remote which I have never used but would be nice I suppose if you wanted to change the humidity fire while you were still in bed or something . I use this for my baby's room. There is a light behind the control switch which leaves a glow on all night but that's fine it doubles as a night light in my kids room. When I have used it in my own room I just put a Post-it note over it and there's no problem. I would highly recommend it . Read more
It leaks like a sieve out of the box, because of a poor fitting between the removable bucket and the base. We've had it 6 hours and filled it 3 times, each attempt more confident that it was as in place as it was going to get and that there wasn't any debris. At the very least, the 24 HR timer is unnecessary. We're lucky we bought this to sit on a bathroom counter anyway. Read more

I know that this humidifier has gotten a bad rap, but I have ordered it twice. First, I bought it from any company and was surprised that Amazon carried it. I love the big tank, which is good for a small livingroom. I absolutely love the remote! I can shut it off across the room without having to go to the unit and manually shut it off. I purchased this product after reading reviews in Consumer Reports. Wish I had read customer reviews as well. The product works beautifully; is quiet, and provides excellent efficiency in adding humidity to the room. The issues stem from the challenge of refilling the water container, and re-tightening the cap. One removes the tank, turns it upside down to access the cap to add more water. If the cap is not screwed on tight enough, the tank will leak when you turn it downward to reattach it to the base. If you tighten the cap too much, you are endangered of cracking the tank, rendering the unit useless. I purchased 3 of these, and was quite pleased at first. Now, after only a few weeks, one of the tanks is cracked. It is a shame, because the efficiency of the unit is worth the hassle of the challenge of filling the tank. I guess this is a hit or miss situation, and "you get what you pay for". The bargain price was enticing, but If I have to replace it every few weeks, it is better to get a more expensive humidifier in the first place. Read more
