Customers say
Customers find these pie weights effective for blind baking, particularly for quiche crusts, and appreciate how they weigh down the crust beautifully. Customers praise their baking performance, with one mentioning how they help crusts cook evenly, while another notes how they prevent crusts from puffing up during baking.

We love Sous vide is a French cooking technique where food is placed in a sealed bag and cooked in a temperature-controlled water bath a French cooking technique where food is placed in a sealed bag and cooked in a temperature-controlled water bath (see picture), we cook everything from fish, steaks, vegetables, etc. Why we love it is that it's a gentle cook, and always perfect. For example a steak cooks at 131 degree's for 1 to 5 hours, and it's doesn't matter as the steak cooks in it's own juices (and does not lose any), and can't overcook, like it can on a stove. So why am I rating pie weights and not talking about pies? Yes we have used them on pies and work very well, but wanted to let you know about another great use of them for Sous vide. In the picture you can see we shrink wrapped the "pea sized weights", and we just use them to hold down every thing we Sous Vide. Works great! Hope this help you to think beyond pies! Read more

If you bake pies, you know pie weights are a necessity sometimes. These pie weights are reusable and better than using beans as weights, especially if you bake pies regularly. These are well made, easy to clean, they seem sturdy; and they come in a little plastic "tin box" that is attractive and functional as a storage container which is easy to stack and identify in the cabinet - the plastic storage box is a great selling point in itself! And yes, it is perfectly giftable. Read more
These pie weights work as expected. The box only has enough for one pie, but that's fine unless you plan to do a lot of baking. Be sure to clean them well before use. I washed them with dish soap and hot water, but they still had a lot of grit left on the beads as well as inside the box. It takes a couple of washes for them to be ok to use. Read more

Worked great, love having the container for them Read more
This is the perfect size and quantity of weights for a normal pie or tart pan. They are easy to clean and easy to store in an adorable little container. I love the old fashioned and compact container, as it fits in my cabinet without taking up too much space. I tried metal pie chains, but they moved too much and didn’t cover every inch of the crust. I’ve used dried beans, but they are too light and I found it wasteful to use the beans to bake a tart or pie. You cannot eat the beans or rice after baking them dry, so it just always felt wrong to waste them. I highly recommend if you blind bake a lot of pie shells and pastries. Read more
