I was having some stiffness and pain in my neck pretty severe and decided to give this a try since I am a side sleeper. It really helped and I don't wake up with a stiff neck and shoulders anymore. (I do also go to the chiropractor for regular adjustments, so that also helps). This pillow is just firm enough to cradle your head and give your neck the support it needs without being too stiff. I am a man who is always tossing and fluffing his pillow through the night to get his pillow just right. I saw this cervical pillow and read the description. I thought what the heck maybe it will work. When I used it the first night, I thought the pillow was too high for my head. On my second night I realized when I compared my pillow and the cervical pillow that my pillow had been too low. I rotate sleeping on my sides as I have a back shoulder. I have discovered that this pillow keeps my head perfectly in place when on my side. I have a tendency to roll over too much with my upper body. This pillow has an area on the side of the pillow where you place your hand and arm. My wife has told me that I am not rolling over as I had in the past. I also feel my spine has stayed in a better position. I wondered if the pillow would be too warm at night since it does not have a pillow case or a cover. I have not found the pillow to be warm. This cervical pillow is made of quality material and excellent craftsmanship. I highly recommend me this pillow for anyone with neck, shoulder or spine issues. Read more
