I'll give it a solid 4 stars. It has definitely helped my neck, but I do still wake up from time to time with a headache or my arm/shoulder hurting. As long as I have my head positioned just right I'm usually fine in the morning, but I tend to move around a lot at night. There was definitely an adjustment period like mentioned on the paper that came with it. For me it only took about a week. It is quite firm, so if you are looking for something with any squish this is not for you. It is very well made and the cover is easy to get off and on for washing. My head does not get hot when using this pillow, so that is a major plus. All in all I have been happy with this purchase. It has worked better than any other pillows I have tried for neck support. This may work for some but I get the same feeling when I hang my head off the side of the bed, after a bit, it starts to hurt. I tried easing myself into using this more in more, because I figured maybe my neck isn't used to being in it's natural position from bad sleeping posture and bad posture but it hasn't gotten much easier to lay on, on it's own. The back needs some grip because it tends to slide, but it need to be pressed firmly into a position that feels like it's relieving pressure on my neck but when I lay my head back my neck feels stretched and then my neck starts hurting in another area. If I position my head comfortably then there isn't enough support for my neck. Mine also still seems a little flat from shipping. When I lay on it, it's more like putting a small neck pillow that is a full donut shape down. I like the firmness of the material itself, I feel like it just needs to be a bit thicker and less of a concave into the center or not as deep of a slope. It seems to stay pretty cool unless I've laid on it for awhile but body heat will do that. The pillow cover is silky, cool and soft to touch as well. Still trying in hopes my neck is just that bad and it will eventually help but until then I'll give it three stars. Read more
