I read the reviews--especiallythe negative ones--but bought it anyway. Glad I did--Reiews complained about the size---yet it measured to exactly the dimensions listed. Complaints that it didn't protect carpet---yet it says it's for Hardwood floors (though I have it on my carpet). Complaints that it was hard to roll open--WOW.. I'm 81, and yes it took a little a muscle to roll it open but I did---laid some heavy books on it and Voila!. I truly think many of the negative reviews are becuse the buyers aren't reading the description. It's a good price for what you get. Read more

This matte is too soft. It is NOT thick enough for use on a rug. The wheels of a chair "sink in" to the vinyl, denting into the rug and preventing you from moving the chair to a different position unless you get off the chair to move it. Also, the matte moves slightly when you try moving the chair with you on it indicating that the matte's anchor points are not long enough to keep the matte from shifting on the rug. Read more
