I’ve been a fan of belts with ratchet buckles, but they’ve always been, in my opinion, just a little too narrow for the belt loops on jeans. This ratchet style belt has the width that I’ve been looking for. It fits the belt loops nicely, and has a rugged casual look that I like. There aren’t any pre determined locking points for the buckle, but it’s designed to hold wherever you want it to hold, with a locking mechanism that grabs tight wherever you want it to. It’s made from a heavy duty nylon material that should last for years and it’s very easy to trim to just the right size. I’d recommend purchasing a larger size than you normally use, trimming it down to a size you like. I’ve purchased several ratchet style belts, and In my opinion, this one has been the best. I really like this belt, especially since the ratchet is at the belt entry end of the buckle. It is lights out better than the sliding pin type buckle. The ratchet release works as it was designed, however the more stress you place on the ratchet mechanism, (The tighter your belt) the more pressure will be require to trip the ratchet release or you have to suck it up a bit and pull on the belt to release some of the pressure on the ratchet. This belt is made very well, and it holds up nicely. The buckling and unbuckling of the belt are very easy to use and it works as it should. It is very sturdy material, and I like the color of. I like that you can adjust it to whatever length that u need it to be by a simple cut. The only thing that I dislike about it is that I am a bigger guy and it buckles under pressure and i have to keep tightening it throughout the day. Other than that, it works perfectly. Read more

I doubt I'm going to be using this day to day because my 2" of tummy fat don't fit well with the buckle being about 3/8" think. I'll use it for outdoor pants where I'm not sitting. Read more
