My ratchet belt that I had purchased fell apart after only a few months of use. The ratchet mechanism on the buckle just chewed it apart making it a frayed mess. Very disappointing! I tried this as an alternative and I'm thrilled with what I got. After using it almost 8 months, it still looks brand new. The ratchet notches on the inside are completely not necessary: the belt buckle holds the nylon webbing just fine, so I don't have to worry about anything falling apart. It's also not so stiff as the other belts as well: that might be useful if I was using it for concealed carry and needed something stiffer, but for the purpose of just keeping my pants up, yeah, the nylon webbing works just fine. It's less expensive, higher quality, more durable, and more comfortable. I can't say enough nice things about this belt and plan on buying a few more in different styles for my collection. Read more
These are the best belts man has ever created! What took em' so long to make like this? They work great! They look great and you can adjust them in small increments at a time; not like the old-style belts where you have to adjust them by an inch at a time. And you can customize them when you get them so you don't have an extra long belt length sticking out at the end of the buckle. And the colors match well with casual pants and shirts. Read more
I have worn ratchet belts for quite some time now. The biggest problems have been that the belts would warp and not hold up for more than 8 months. THIS belt, is much sturdier! It is a little longer than expected, but it comes with an extra moveable loop to help hold the excess. Which is really nice as I have been losing weight and the belt tail is getting longer. I could probably cut off the excess, but not sure how the end would look? The belt is quite flexible, but is made of something akin to a plastic coated cording. No complaint, just odd material. The only real issue I have noticed, is occasionally, when I have bent over or squatted down, the ratchet release will be bumped and release a notch or two. Nothing drastic. But noticed. So far though, this belt is the best I have found at a price that is just as comfortable. (UPDATE 3-6-22) The belt is still holding up very well. BUT!, The belt release lever has a slight flaw. The lever to release the belt is located on the bottom side of the buckle and is slightly too large. When bending or squatting to do something, the release is pushed by the fabric of my jeans/work pants, and makes the buckle release and loosens the belt. If the release lever were at a different angle, or maybe a little smaller, it possibly wouldn't release so easily when bending over? And for the record, I am kind of overweight. But, this type of belt works easiest for those of us that are heavy (fat). Read more
I was looking for a lightweight belt to wear with shorts. I typically get canvas belts with double rings. However, sometimes they can be tricky to shorten, with some the buckle is a bit too heavier than I like and the canvas isn't too durable. I decided to give these a try, figuring I would return if they were crappy. The belt is not a fully cotton belt, rather a synthetic blend, however, I am surprised that I like that as it is light weight, yet is more durable, and very attractive with a quality feel. I was concerned that the buckle would be cheap flimsy plastic. However, it seems to to a quality/durable construction of lightweight metal. It is easy to cut down to size. I wish they also had a light gray, or off-white, version. Read more
I purchased these belts in April of 2021, it is now October 2025 and I still wear them every single day. They have held up great and I love the adjustability of them. Can’t recommend them enough. Read more
Tried various Ratchet belts, but found them to have very weak ratchet mech . The spring assy always broke after only a few months. Purchased CHAOREN Ratchet Belt & was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The buckle/spring latch assy is sturdy and the spring force is much heavier than other Ratchet belts. The belt itself is thicker than others I have tied which adds to the comfort. Also the ribbing on the belt is heavier than other belts which really works well with the ratchet/buckle assy. I liked my first ourchase so much I purchased the 2 pair combo which is a great deal. I would recommend this belt based on my personal experience. Read more
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these belts. The webbing and buckles are strong. Much nicer that I expected for the money. I like that fact that it came with two colors. I had previously ordered a different web belt from a differently vendor and it turned out to be junk as the webbing was cheap and the buckle kept falling off. These are very sturdy and I am sure will last. I also liked that you could trim them to be a better fit. Read more
One belt works great the other belt I had to throw out because the teeth on it wouldn't catch on the belt properly so the belt was always coming loose. Considering I bought these to wear with my golf pants and the type of movement you make while golfing made that second belt unwearable. Too bad. Read more
