I left a vegetable in the veggie drawer when we went on an extended vacation. We always dump our ice cubes (side-by-side, built in fridge), and I was surprised that they tasted 'funny' the next day. Then I noticed a chemical/medicinal/weird smell every time I opened the fridge door. The power had gone out for 4 days in-between. Well we cleaned it all out--I mean EVERYTHING, including cleaning labels of bottles, etc. And by "we", I pretty much mean my husband did it all. The smell/taste stubbornly remained. We put a bowl of baking soda in the fridge--no luck. Then I got these and *bam* - smell was gone. Fridge saved!! These can be "recharged" by putting in sunshine for 1/2 hour too, so they will last forever, and they fit nicely wherever I put them. Worth every penny for sure, so easy to use (although I doubt they'd have worked without cleaning.) These are wonderful!! I started using them the day I received them. I put one in the garbage can under the bag and there is much less odor now. I hung them near the litter box and the pee pads. We were gone several hours two days ago. For the first time in a very long time, there was no odor when we walked in. These did the trick. I'm very happy I found them. I'm not sure how well these are working, but they do give me a bit of peace of mind that they are soaking up the odors from the men in the house. The car, the closet, the bedrooms all seemed to have a lingering odor, and now it seems better after placing these in strategic locations. These charcoal bags have worked thus far. I placed them under the trash bag in the garbage cans, and near the cat liter boxes. Thus far, they are absorbing the odors. I like the provided S hooks and the option to be able to hang them. The hole for the hooks is reinforced with a metal grommet. Read more
