A 60W USB‑C AC adapter for Nintendo Switch 2 that supports up to 20V/3A is a strong, generally safe choice as long as it is fully USB‑C PD compliant and explicitly labeled as compatible with Switch 2 and TV dock mode. It should provide enough power for handheld play, charging while playing, and docked 4K output, and can usually also fast‑charge other USB‑C devices like phones, tablets, and some laptops. Pros • 60W (up to 20V/3A) power gives stable charging in handheld mode and enough headroom for docked play. • If PD 3.0 compliant, it will negotiate appropriate voltages (5V/9V/15V/20V) for different devices, making it more versatile than a basic 15V‑only brick. • Third‑party 60W adapters are often more compact and travel‑friendly, sometimes with detachable USB‑C cables. • Good replacement or spare for office, travel bag, or a second dock setup. Cons • Very cheap, no‑name bricks may skip proper safety protections (over‑voltage, over‑current, over‑temp) and can risk damaging the console. • Some third‑party chargers only guarantee handheld charging and may not fully support TV/dock mode even if they say “60W”. • Non‑Nintendo adapters may not be covered by Nintendo’s warranty if something goes wrong. Recommendation If this 2–20V, 3A, 60W charger clearly lists USB‑C PD support, short‑circuit/over‑voltage protections, and explicit Nintendo Switch 2 compatibility (ideally with safety certifications like UL/FCC/CE), it is a worthwhile buy as a main or backup power supply. If those details are vague or missing, I would spend a bit more on either the official Nintendo adapter or a well‑reviewed brand that specifically guarantees Switch 2 dock support. Read more

This works as expected—charges the Switch without issues and the long cable is actually useful. Good for travel or as a backup charger. Build quality feels decent, though not quite on the level of the official Nintendo adapter. Still, it gets the job done reliably. Pros: • Long cable is convenient • Charges properly • Good backup option Cons: • Not OEM quality • Unknown long-term durability Bottom line: Solid budget-friendly charger that works… just not premium. Needed an extra charger so we weren't constantly fighting over the one that came in the box and this has worked perfectly. The 10ft cable is the main selling point - it's a genuinely useful length and gives you a lot of flexibility with where the dock or console can sit relative to an outlet. Worth knowing - this works as a full power supply for docking, not just charging, which not all third party chargers do. Fast charging works as advertised too. The foldable plug is a nice touch for travel. For the price it's a really solid backup or second charger and works on just about anything that takes USB C. Read more

If you didnt know, to use any compact or 3rd party dongle "dock" to play your Switch or Switch 2 without the OEM dock, you need the actual power supply plugged in or the HDMI will not work. My partner has a Switch 2 and I have a Switch, so we can't interchangeably dock - Nintendo thought that'd be enough for me to upgrade to a Switch 2 lol, nice try, thedevil. This works exactly as a stock charging/power supply for either console and is much cheaper than the branded one. Whether you need it to dock without a dock, or as a backup/travel charger/power supply, this is a great choice. Bonus for the thickness of the cord as well, as a home with chompy cats and lots of cable management issues lol. Read more

This Is a replacement charger for a Nintendo Switch owned by my son. The own arrived in very gods shape and it works when connected to the NS console What I like about it is that it has a very long cable and that is highly appreciated. Sometimes is difficult to connect to the nearest outlet but this cable extends well beyond the customary 6 ft regular cables. The cable can also be used to charge a USB-C cell phone or similar appliances with very high charging speed. That is a versatility that I was not expecting. Read more

Perfect alternative to original charger. My favorite thing about this item is how long the cord is and that it also works with my switch one version. This charger does work significantly faster than the original. Quality wise, the plastic shell and wiring on this feel just as strong as the original version. Overall, I am very satisfied with the functionality and quality of this item. Read more

This is an adequate backup for your Switch and Switch 2 as well as any other USB-C powered device. I purchased this as a backup for travel as I needed something that could charge my Switch quick. My only con (this is just my personal preference) is that it would have been perfect if the plug prongs folded into the brick. I feel it's a bit expensive for something that is not official approved by Nintendo but if you're interested in this adapter it would be an acceptable purchase. Read more
