Surprisingly modest! This was different than I was expecting. The bodice is a heavily ribbed fabric, and the overskirt is sheer. It actually grew on me as I wore it. It's modest enough to wear for a family party. I deducted a star for the ruching at the rib cage being overly bulky, and being a heavier weight fabric than expected. This suit is super cute! I love that it makes me feel good but also is modest. Been looking for something to wear around a resort without having to constantly be putting on a cover up. The one strap is removable depending on preference. The color is just as shown in the photos. The side string can be pulled as much as you want in order to adjust the length of the skirt. I am 120 pounds and ordered a small. It felt a little looser than a normal size small. I haven’t used it in water yet but I would be a little considered it would get baggy once wet.
