Checks Off Many Boxes
This is perhaps the best knife I have purchased off Amazon for $10. It has good heft, a thick blade, and a sturdy handle. I made a beef stew chopping up potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, and beef. This kiritsuke made short work of all of them. Of course it will dull eventually, but nothing some time with a whetstone won't fix. This knife is a pleasure to use and makes prepwork a breeze. The blade has the dimpling which is supposed to keep food from sticking to it, but I didn't notice anything revolutionary about this. It does have a pretty, shiny edge but I am sure battle scars will show their mark soon enough with regular usage. This should be no big deal. It is a tool for me not a display piece. I can't overstate how built-to-last this knife appears to be. I would guess that it is full tang because the pakkawood (inexpensive material but durable) handle feels heavy, so there is surely metal underneath it. It should last a lifetime with minimal care like handwashing and immediate drying with a dish towel to avoid rusting. (Don't throw your knives into the dishwasher.) I recommend this EANINNO highly and will watch them for other offerings. High value, low price. Read more
