I wanted a nice quality chef hat. This is no disposable hat. There is an adjustable clasp at the back, and easily fits my head (I measure 7 3/8 hat size/ or about 23 inch). It looks to me like it could handle a 7 3/4 (24.25 inches). Feels like nice material, but won't get too hot. Of course, it is made in China. I needed a hat that wasn’t so tight around my head and held all my hair for culinary school. It’s perfect! I am worried about the strap breaking after a while but other than that it’s working as I had hoped. I wash it but do not dry it in the dryer.
