Chef Works Womens Essential Baggy Chef Pants

I needed a quick fix for culinary school. The pants provided by the institute were delayed so we had to wear our own black pants until they came in. I'm 5'5 1/2" with a slim build so I ordered an x-small because I wanted a nice fit. When I took them out of the bag I just knew I would have to get them altered because they seemed huge to my eyes. I tried them on and was like "oh no, this will not work". I packed them anyway and I was on my way to class. While changing into my chef uniform something told me to put the pants over the jeans I already had on. Perfect fit. I felt secure because I had on my regular pants and wearing just only an undergarment underneath kinda freaked me out. I love the fit and the length is just right for me. These pants are great! I recently purchased the same pair of pants from a local retailer at almost twice the cost of theses guys. The sizing is a bit off I'm a little over 5 ft and wear a size 8 usually smalls are too tight but these are perfect. I ordered five pairs of trousers and bought a size up to make sure they wouldn't be too small (I've had problems with my other trousers being too tight.). They arrived on time and were the right color, but, past that, they have proved to be more work than ready made trousers really should be. I have a ten inch difference between my hips and waist. They are almost too high to even stay on my hips, so, as a result, they are huge around my waist. I attempted to alter the waist to fit by making a pleat on either side at my hips, but the elsewhere disconcertingly thin fabric is equally disconcerting in it's thickness around the waistline, meaning my thread snapped every two minutes at least and I'm worried my fingertips are going to wear out if I keep trying to alter them. As a result, I've chosen to give up after a week of mending here and there and order from a different supplier. Over 150 dollars were wasted, but at least now I know to not buy from here. I'm glad others have had better results, and I hope what I got was a one-off mistake rather than the regular quality. Purchased these for my daughter that works in a kitchen as a line cook. She is tall and has a hard time finding pants that fit her length. These were a great surprise that they actually fit!! She was very excited that they went over her ankles and covered the tops of her shoes. For reference she is 5'9" and slender. Not only did they fit her long legs but the material is breathable, durable and the material is great quality. This chef pants are comfortable and breathable. The packets are big enough to store all your kitchen needs. They perform like a very expensive pair of pants however the size is not consistent. I got three pair in the same size but they were all different size. One fit loose, the other was tight and the third would go past my tights. If you get then make sure to try it out before is too late. Read more
