I bought these for my cats. For cats, pate food would get stuck in the mat and my cats would get frustrated eating. Chunky gravy soft food worked great and helped my cats a lot with slowing their eating. While the suction cups on the bottom are nice, it makes it very hard to put food on the mat and transport it to another location without flinging food everywhere after it sticks to the counter. I ultimately stick it to a plate to make it easily transportable for the kittens (but then they drag it across the ground..... pick your battles I guess.) I will say one of my cats does chew at the silicone. After a few times theres no notice of pieces breaking off but definitely something to watch out for with biters in case they ingest pieces. These are amazing! The suction is strong and the quality is very good. I put peanut butter on them and it’s the only way I can distract my dog in order to cut his nails.
