This freaking thing is fantastic!!! I absolutely love ice cream but gave up added sugar a year ago. Nothing in store is worth buying with all the added ingredients/chemicals. I now use Greek yogurt and mix add ins. I have also experimented with smashed bananas, cocowhip topping, and smoothies. I gifted this to my husband for Christmas because he loves ice cream. But I was tired of getting those super processed high fat high sugar ice creams. This plate came with a booklet of different flavored recipes like vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, sorbets, margaritas, and so much more. It works exactly as described. Best for a couple or small families because it does start to lose it's coolness and the ice cream gets more aqueous after 3-4 uses and you'll have to shove it back in the freezer for a little while to get cold again. We make our homemade ice cream with 3-4 simple ingredients every time. For a healthier option we've been using protein yogurts or protein milkshakes as the base and adding sugar free sweetners and fresh fruits. It's life changing. Read more

This worked perfectly as soon as we took it out of the freezer. However, the next rolls we made would not roll properly. We plan to make one batch, put back in freezer, then make the next one The recipe book that came with the maker has a great vanilla recipe! Delicious! Overall, we are happy with the product. As warm weather is approaching, I was looking for something to surprise my grandchildren with and ice cream is always nice on warm days, so I started looking for some options which I might be able to get which would allow for us to use with them helping us actually make the ice cream, and I stumbled across this item. I read some reviews, and watched the video, so I took the plunge and ordered it. Naturally, my wife and I decided we needed to try it out when it arrived, so we didn’t disappoint the grandkids if it didn’t work, so, reluctantly, after it arrived, it was cleaned, and placed in the freezer for a day. When it was ready to use, we prepared the ice cream mixture, and had some candy items we wanted to mix in, just to make sure that also worked okay in the process, and began. Our first attempt was a bit sloppy as we poured the entire amount onto the surface at once, rather than following the instructions and only pouring the remainder after the first round was completed, so the completion of the ice cream to longer than expected. However, the end result was great, and we had enough left over to put in the freezer after we each had a small bowl. The concept is very much like Cold Stone if you’ve ever been there - pour and scrape as the mixture freezes until you get the consistency you desire, and then mix in the extras. This works as advertised, and my wife and I decided to order some for presents to give away to others, which I believe is the highest recommendation I could make. Read more

I absolutely loved the Chef'n Sweet Spot Ice Cream Maker! It was incredibly easy to use and I loved that it came with a recipe book. The best part was how quick it froze the ice cream, making it perfect for fun activities with my kids. The kit was complete and made hand washing a breeze. I can't rave enough about this product but if I had to suggest an improvement, it would be a larger size and more recipes in the book. Our family loves to make ice cream with this. It's so much faster than a traditional ice cream maker and works just as well. We make 4 servings with it each time without trouble. The recipes in the book are great, I love that they are simple whole ingredient recipes too and they have good options for kids and adults as well. You can literally put anything on it and it will make it into ice cream, we've even tried kids yogurt tubes and the kids love that too! Read more
