Just visited my son who uses this Chemex carafe, stainless steel reusable filter & grinds his specialty coffee beans. Delicious coffee 😋 I grind my Colombian coffee beans and use a Melitta paper filter in a silicone cone. My coffee tasted good, BUT after switching to this Chemex carafe and a stainless steel filter, my good coffee is now delicious 😋 It is so easy to use and clean. Rinses easily and beautifully but wanted to check dishwasher claims. Placed in dishwasher on Sani-cycle and carafe sparkles. Nice to have some colorful handle options. Typical Chemex quality with hardened glass. Not unbreakable but it sure took a lot of potential dings until it broke putting it in the dishwasher. But it should have broken years ago when I thought it would break. The dishwasher was just a fluke event knowing what it had survived. The handle appears darker than it is but is the perfect shade ... a light transparent cobalt. Read more

I have been using this Chemex for a while and really like how beautiful the blue handle looks on the clear glass carafe. I also like not having to remove the wood collar to wash the carafe. The size is smaller than my previous Chemex but just the right size for my one mug of coffee. Read more

I used to have a smaller version of this pour over Chemex that lacked the stylish blue handle. Love this one. Use it daily. If you buy this, get the large, square pre-folded paper filters. Smaller, round ones can work but will be a bit wonky. Read more
