I bought this candle as a gift, so I haven’t personally smelled it. However, the size is generous, and it arrived well-packaged and protected. The glass jar looks sturdy and high quality, and according to the person who received it, the scent is pleasant and not overpowering. These smell wonderful, and are very visually appealing (The glass is thick and nicely tinted, and the lids look appealing). The candle burns a little unevenly, with the wick requiring more trimming than typical, but they're overall well worth purchasing. The scent isn't overpowering, but is strong enough that left open in a room, even not burning, you'll be able to smell the lavender. Read more

I have bought so many candles in my life that it is not even funny. Either they would give me a headache or you couldn't smell them if you burned them in a 2x2 space or they burned too quickly... Anyway, I am sure you get my point. I eventually started using essential oils in a diffuser. I did enjoy the smell but it was just a hassle. I've even tried my hand at making my own candles.HUGE mistake. 😫 I found out real quickly that I am NOT Martha Stewart. Soooo...back to candle hunting I go. At least Amazon makes it a little easier,except for the reviews. I can't understand how one person will have a totally different opinion from another. I'm not talking about whether they liked the smell or not. I'm talking about how it burned,or how long it lasted. I just decided to go with my gut.I am so glad that I did. I'm also glad that this was the first scent that I picked. I absolutely was thrilled with it. The candle burned very well and evenly. You could actually smell it outside my bedroom and it smelled wonderful (to me). So I immediately ordered 3 more different scents. Well, I wasn't as impressed with the others,but just let me clarify this for you. The candles were great as far as the burning and everything but the scents were not nearly as strong as this one (to me). I will probably try every scent eventually because they are really good candles. Hopefully I will find another one that I like. If not, I am just thrilled that I found ONE that I am happy with. So,I guess what I am saying is don't go by someone's opinion over just the smell. Everyone is different. Go by the quality of the candle. And the quality is outstanding. This is a well made candle and I can see why the brand is popular. The fragrance is just ok though. On its own, it's a faint and pleasant smell, but as someone who loves roses and rose candles, it doesn't not smell much like roses. I honestly don't know which candles are the most "naturally" fragranced but this is far from the best smelling rose candle I've had. The smell is growing on my but it was not what I expected.
