This did not include the free heat guard product. The dryer itself works great and is light weight. Read more
Somebody please tell me why did I wait 14 years to get an amazing hair dryer? I have had the same hair dryer for 14 years. It was a decent quality I thought it was good enough. I’ve been holding my broken diffuser on as try to dry my curls and just turn it into a mass of frizz I inevitably hide. So when I got this Chi blow dryer you could say I was blown away. The size of the diffuser is so much bigger than my old one and actually really truly diffuses the air. It also has one other attachment but as a curly girl it’s not one I will ever use. The temperature is actually a reasonable heat and doesn’t scorch and frizz my already unmanageable curls that can never make up their mind if they will cooperate or not. I have an arm injury that is healing and this is definitely lighter than my old one and didn’t bother my healing arm as much. I didn’t know there could be such a difference in the quality of air blowing out of a blow dryer. It’s just air blowing right? Wrong. If you also are just putting up with your nasty hair dryer from 2012 please do yourself a favor and get yourself an upgrade. You won’t regret it. The only thing that would make this better is if you got a heat protectant spray to try with it. Read more
This is a fairly standard dryer with a concentrator attachment and a diffuser. They lock securely onto the dryer and perform as expected. My hair is past my shoulders and somewhat thick, so it took about 6-7 minutes to dry on the highest setting. My hair looked about the same as it does after I use my budget dryer and took about the same amount of time to dry my hair, but was slightly less loud than my budget dryer. My dryer did not come with the small sample of 44 Iron Guard, so I don't know if that was an oversight or if it's no longer being offered. The cord does not swivel but is long enough to let you move around a bit while drying your hair. My hair was not frizz-free when done, but it never really is, so that's likely a me problem. Overall, I can't justify spending over $100 for a hair dryer when I can get something comparable at the local store for less than half the cost. It dries hair as intended, but in these economic times, I can't recommend it due to cost. Read more

This hair dryer is such an upgrade from what I was using before! It’s a nice mocha with a hint of pink to it - a little darker than the photos seem to me, but a very nice color. It has three heat settings and two speeds, plus a cool air button. I personally like the rocker buttons and didn’t have any issues accidentally changing them once I got used to the dryer’s shape. I like the handle taper, it makes it more comfortable to hold. To me, this dryer feels solid without being too heavy. I just blow dried my hair without only my usual heat protectant spray, and found that my hair dried smoother and less fluffy than with my old dryer. This hair dryer is also definitely quieter, even though the air flow feels just as powerful. I like that there’s a removable lint trap at the back. This is a lot to spend on a hair dryer, but it really is nice and worked super well for me! So overall, I think as long as it holds up over time, this is actually a pretty good value! Read more

I like this hair dryer a lot, with a few caveats. I like that it's very light, it is not very loud, it worked well and dried my hair (which is fine and shoulder length) in about 5 minutes - so it's powerful and my hair dried very fast. It seems to be well-made though it is not heavy like some other hair dryers I have. (I find it being lighter a bonus, heavy hair dryers are annoying to me.) However, the diffuser is HUGE - I feel as though it almost diffuses too much given how large it is. (That said, I'm not a diffuser user, so I did not deduct any stars for that - but just, be aware). More importantly - the cord does not swivel, which makes the hair dryer harder to use and work around the head (in this day and age, why do all cords not swivel at the base of the product?). And also, while I like the old-fashioned buttons for settings/heat/power, they are placed so that using the hair dryer pushes on them and changes the settings (or turns it off). They either should be in a different place (higher up on the handle) or be switches that don't get moved so easily. Lastly, it is pricey - $100 for a hair dryer is a LOT to me, and if you are spending that much - go for one that has a swiveling cord and switches that don't get pressed while using the device. Otherwise, though, it worked well and I recommend it. Read more

I’m really impressed by the quality and feel of this dryer. The diffuser attachment is surprisingly big, which allows it to cover a lot of area. The dryer itself is compact and feels good in the hand, with a silky texture and a unique color. It feels solid but is still a comfortable weight that hits the sweet spot between not too heavy and not too light. One thing I noticed right away is how quiet it is compared to my old hair dryer. Despite the comparatively low noise level, it’s powerful and dries my hair quickly, with the cool shot button helping to reduce frizz. I also like the toggle buttons. They’re easy to control but they aren’t so easy that they can be accidentally switched while gripping the handle. This is clearly a premium product that is well built and well designed with respect to both form and function. It’s not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Read more
