UPDATE: I've had this for over two years, and I still love it. I grew my hair below my shoulders, and it dried my hair just as well as it did with my chin-length bob. The only thing I don't like is not being able to get my hair smooth. This is rarely an issue, but there have been a handful of times in the last two years when I would have preferred a sleeker look. A regular blow dryer will work fine for those rare occasions, once I remember to buy one. (I gave mine to one of my kids after getting this one.) ---------------- Original review: My hairstylist recommended I try a brush/blow dryer combo, and this is the one I decided on. I'm so glad I picked it. It's lightweight, it includes a cool setting, and it works *fast*. I have a chin-length bob and fine hair, so it didn't actually take a *long* time to blow my hair dry, but my attention span is shorter than my hair, and I never dried it all the way. With this, my hair is dry and completely styled before I get bored and quit. No more fighting with a round brush and a separate blow dryer, and the area at the top where you're supposed to hold it with your fingers is big enough and really stays cool. It's easy to coax my sides forward, I get so much more volume than with a regular blow dryer, and it's such an all-around great addition to my bathroom appliances that it made some obsolete. So I read the reviews and a lot of the negatives on this product was the size of the handle-It is a little big, but not so much. I would return it for that reason. I absolutely loved the way my hair turned out! I bought it because I am not good at Freehand blow drying-My hair is Growing out from being short and at the stage where it’s either too short to fix or too long to fix. The middle brush gave my hair just enough lift-My hair looks like it was actually cut to be this length! The drying left it super soft and shiny. I want a little bounce!! I love this product!! I love Chi products and this appears to be a good one. I like the ability to change the brush sizes and this feature works really well. Hair does not get stuck in any crevices around the barrel, which is great. However, the smaller brushes are really easy to get tangled if one is not careful. Additionally, this brush tugs/pulls quite a bit. Much smaller sections need to be taken than I am used to with my beloved revlon that I’ve had for several years. I’ll try it a few more times but will probably have to return because of the issues listed. Not terrible, just not nearly as good or easy to use as my old revlon. Read more
Best round brush dryer I've used and I've tried them all. I'm buying an extra just in case one day I need another. Great heat, has cool setting too. Not to heavy. Bristles are perfect for me. 3 size heads but I prefer the larger one. I'm happy. Its taken me a while to find the perfect round brush dryer,most aren't round they are Squamish, this one is round and gives a nice curly wave and body..I have curly kinky thick shoulder length hair and it smooths it nice without it feeling too straight or thin.
