Since I already knew I loved it I bought the same one again. If you want a quick, salon-quality blowout at home, the CHI Rocket Dryer is such a great pick. I generally don't write reviews, but I was blown away by this hair dryer (no pun intended). It's truly an engineering feat that this hair dryer possesses the characteristics of being both powerful and quiet while simultaneously having an EXTREMELY low weight. (This last characteristic became important to me when, at one point, while using my SuperSolano, my neck suddenly went out while drying my hair one morning - not fun!) Upon my initial use of the CHI Rocket, it seemed that it had very little power, but before I knew it, my hair was dry AND smooth (my hair type is wavy and very long), and I wasn't working very hard to get it that way; I would surmise that it cut my drying time by 30% - 40%. Also (and possibly more importantly), upon waking the following morning, my hair still looked great - and I usually have to wash my hair every single morning, without fail. Given that this time of the year is the most humid, the results of my "morning test" become even more impressive. For the Amazon price, this dryer seems that it would be a good investment, given it is a tool that I usually must use on a daily basis (saves time,time is money, and all that jazz). I generally am extremely skeptical about a beauty product's or tool's scientific claims (ion technology, biochemical therapeutic claims, etc.) given that my background is in the sciences, so I know that half of the claims are false or can be achieved by a $3 product/tool competitor, but someone knew what they were doing when they designed this puppy, so I'm more apt to believe that it's better for hair health as well; what is definitely true is that cutting drying time will save some hair damage. My hair is really long and thick, so I used to never blow dry it because it would just take too long. BUT this is a game changer. I got it around 4 years ago and it is the best blowdryer I have ever tried. My hair used to take at least 45 minutes to blow dry. Now it takes 10. TEN MINUTES. And I have a lot of hair. It is a miracle. Personally, I think it's better than the blowdryers used at hair salons. It's super fast and it doesn't make my hair frizzy at all (I have naturally frizzy hair). I'll be done with my hair in ten minutes and look like I just had a professional blow out. Cannot recommend this enough. This may be a hot take, but I think it's as good as a dyson. Just a lot more affordable. I've used both and tbh I prefer this one. The only issue I had is that I always wrap up the cord really tight, even though I know I'm not supposed to... and after 4 years the cord broke. But I think if you don't bend the cord so much, it will last you a long time. I love it so much that right after I broke it I just went on my phone and ordered it again. Read more

I have thick curly hair - and a lot of it. It takes forever to blow-dry my hair. I did two keratin treatments to have it straight and easier to style... that was about a year ago... With my old blow dryer it took about 50-60 minutes to dry it - and many times it wasn't really dry at the roots... so it started to look frizzy after a short time. I decided to buy the CHI Rocket despite the fact that it would not have warranty - I usually don't like it at all. It arrived and I tried it - FANTASTIC result. I did not have to use straightening products. All I used was a heat protector gel and my round brush. It took me less than 30 minutes to dry and my hair looked tamed and shiny, very soft. My hubby noticed it (and he rarely notices things... you know how that goes) and said "Wow, you hair looks great today"... I would give it 5 stars if CHI would offer the warranty even if you don't buy the Rocket at a salon (that is crazy). It's worth buying! My old hair dryer was : Conair Conair Ionic Ceramic Styler, White/Black with 1875 watts - still took forever to dry my hair and it made it look frizzy because it heated my hair up but it was still moist in the inside... Best blow dryer ever. I love that it’s low EMF and it’s POWERFUL. Drys my hair in less than 10 minutes and leaves it shiny. This is my second one, my first one was the same exact hair dryer and it lasted me over 10 years (this justifies the price for me) loved it so much I stuck with the same one for my replacement!
