I got this so that younger kids can explore music. I had seen 'Panda' drums advertised online and decided to get one. However, it ended up entertaining 3 twenty-year-old guys for quite some time. They tried out some of the songs in the book. Then they started looking up "minecraft music for panda drums" online so they could try it out. It happened to be someone's birthday that day so they even played that. The book is even more entertaining. The story it tells goes along with the stickers on the different notes. It weaves together a funny story. It wasn't meant to be a funny story but I think the story is a translation from another language because it didn't quite translate perfectly. But it gave the guys a good laugh. It comes with stickers to put on the notes to help you see them better. It has a really nice case too. Very impressive quality. Even a moody teen girl liked it. She's hard to please sometimes yet she was drawn to it. It's fun to play with I must admit. The upper notes don't have the same lovely tone that you expect from one of these. They are also the smaller surface area notes, so they are a little 'tinny' sounding. The first 5 notes are just lovely and have that long lasting hum to them. It's a great way to introduce music to kids. They immediately are 'playing' so they aren't afraid of it as its not intimidating like some instruments can be. Read more
