Searching for a pull up bar that works with my door was difficult, but I found the one. This is perfect for the quarantine home gym setup. It's an easy setup, just twist until it's tight and lock it. I was skeptical to use it but it handled my pops full weight at 2 hundred something. The grips could use some work or just be one long grip would be better. Pros: * Quality is great * Setup is easy * Doesn't slip and locks in place * Works with all the doors I've tried it on so far Cons * Needs a better grip but works Read more
Probably as good as it gets for sturdiness - however it will destroy your door frame if it’s not extremely sturdy. Mines pretty bad now, but it still works. I would not use again on another frame unless using a metal frame Read more
Pretty straight forward review. Seems pretty sturdy and holds my weight when doing pull ups. I've been using it on two brick walls that are fairly close together. I don't trust the brick that much so I've been doing pull ups with my legs in a position to catch myself. I think that this is a good stance for any product that you are using until you are absolutely sure it won't move. 5 star because it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Read more
I bought this for my kids. This is great fit my kid bad room doors. And I am 200 lbs. I was a little worry when I hang. But it is strong enough to hold me. I use this bar for my kids swing as well. They enjoy a lot with this bar. And it Is easy to install. You just need to twist the bar. There is a soft grip came together. It helps to pain while you are hanging. It is so fat so great. I recommend this product. Read more
This requires to be tightened against both sides of a door, but because either end has to be "unscrewed," you cannot hold it against the door frame AND tighten it. Thus, it's nearly impossible. In some form or another, you seem to have to damage your door frame to get this in and to hold. I'm a renter, and just can't afford the risk with this. This would have been at least a bit better if it unscrewed from the MIDDLE, and then locked in place. But instead, having something where either side needs to be unwound a different direction, and so it can't really align from either side to have both handles face downward for better stability, and do so while inside the door frame, just is very poorly done. Im roughly 180lbs and it holds sturdy for me even when making jerky motions with my pullups. I was quite nervous it might fall off but as long as you lock it firmly, theres no problems, just dont go running into a jump on the bar. Its not a monkey bar haha. Overall i love how it doesnt damage the door frames like the door frame hangin bar does. This is a little more clean looking too, so it isnt out of place. 10/10 Read more
horrible i sent it back. this does NOT fit in a standard doorway NOR just it expand enough to fit an over sized doorway. It is useless anywhere in our home. It ripped off paint and dented wood work in door frame. it was a few centimeters off of fit , just off in length where we couldn’t install it in standard doorway . We attempted to lengthen the bar with expansion and didnt expanded enough to fit oversized doorway. Not user friendly , very heavy, don’t recommend. Ended up getting cheaper version. with over the door hook pull up bar that hangs using hook shape bar and persons body weight to keep in place. Read more
Not bad! Bought this in pandemic times and it has served its function. The equipment itself is sturdy and doesn't feel like anything will break. Don't expect clear instructions aren't, though the assembly is pretty self explanotry. Be aware: your doorframe will need to be quite resilient to comfortably support your body weight. I tightened it as far as possible to ensure that it wouldn't 'slip', which has been successful. However, it seems like it removed a layer of paint. Given that my doorframe is concrete, I can likely just paint over it, but I would be hesitant to use on delicate wood. Read more
