I got this coat with my daughter in mind. She is always cold, and that's saying something, here in central Texas. She loves a long coat during the (at most) two months of colder weather here, and she loves the color green. So, with a bit of trepidation (she is quite particular in what she buys and wears), I ordered it. I did decide that if the fit was good for me, I would keep it, and no harm done. However, as I suspected, it is miles too long for me. My daughter loves a long coat, to wear with boots or ankle boots. The item itself is so soft and plush! The fabric is lovely, not scratchy, as some coats tend to be. It appears to be very well made. I did not find any deficiencies in the stitching or construction. The lining is lovely. I got a size L, and it fits her 5'6" frame perfectly, coming just to her mid shin, as shown in the original post. The sleeves are just a tiny bit long, but she prefers that, so great. The cinch-belt is perfect, and with the double-breasted construction, makes this coat look and feel high-end. The green color is rich and warm, and stunning with her green eyes. The coat has some weight to it, but just enough to keep you warm and cozy, not to drag you down. At it's current price of $51.99, this is also a stunning value! This is much, much better than I expected—it’s a great color and style. I like the length a lot; I’m 5’8” and it doesn’t quite hit my ankles, but it’s not far off. It’s well-sewn with no loose threads or missed/puckered seams. Obviously you’re not going to get pure wool for this price and indeed it isn’t—only 10% wool. That works fine for me as I rarely wear a formal coat so I wasn’t looking for an investment piece. The one annoying detail is that the epaulets stick up a little too far. I plan to put a stitch in them to keep them flatter so I don’t get looped up by a passing crane lol. I guess one could also remove them—it would just be a matter of picking apart a few stitches.
