I loved these pants and absolutely hated to return them! I have a straight/apple-ish shape and the fabric on these pants is thick and warm (just what I wanted for winter) but I don't have any hips to help hold these in place. If they are tight enough in the waist to stay on me, they are too tight in the waist, and there are no belt loops for me to add a belt. Otherwise these are perfect. The shape is fantastic! I am very happy I took a chance on this purchase. My expectations were low due to the price point, but the woolen material feels and looks expensive. The bonus is that these have pockets and a flattering pleat in the front and an elastic waistband for a more "tailored" fit. No belt required.
