Christians Fitness Factory CFF Adjustable Weighted Vest Shell Only - Holds Up to 44lbs

I received this as a gift, with the thought that I could purchase the weights myself for this vest. That was just what I wanted, except for the fact that I cannot find weights to go in it! I called CFF FIT, only to find out they don't sell the weights either. They instructed me to Google weight bricks and any should fit. I spent hours looking for these weights, but it seems that no one sells weights for these vests. Ended up returning and will get a vest with weights already in it. This is a heavy duty well made vest, but it doesn't come with the weights. I prefer this since I can add whatever I want in the pockets supplied with heavy duty velcro strips to hold everything in the vest. Went to the store today and bought 8 oz cans of tomato paste for cooking. i plan on smashing them into a rectangular shape and adding concrete for the weights. A little more work, but the vest was very inexpensive and well made. My son plans on using this to train for the Navy Seals, but I thought (as an electrical engineer) this would make a nice battery pack vest for all of my yard tools, I can configure a Lithium pack for the appropriate voltage and power my weed trimmer, hedge trimmer and other tools. First off I think that this vest is a really nice and well made item. When it arrived, I immediately opened it after loading the weights (Iron Fitness - Flex Weigts) into the pouches, which they fit very nicely, set out to take it for a test trial. At which time I realized that there was a strap (CFF FIT calls it the long strap) missing from the order. I search both the shipping box and the wrapping but NO STRAP!!!! Now I'm waiting to hear from the rep as to how I go about obtaining one. I'm bummed about this because this item cost me 64 dollars and some change. I'll give it a few days and if I don't hear from someone, I may have to send it back and look elsewhere, which is a shame because from what I've seen thus far, this vest DOES look first rate in construction. The vest itself is great. Well designed and sturdy as well as affordable. The problem is finding or making weights that fit the vest. I've had the vest for weeks but haven't been able to use it because I have to make weights to go in it. It's a large undertaking. If there had been some sort of empty containers to fill with sand or something, then I would have given the vest 5 stars. Read more
