REALLY wanted to make this jacket work! The color is beautiful, the material is lightweight which is great to wear on it's own or layered. The challenge for me was just fit. The waist is just a bit too high for me, almost creating a empire waistline and the hem sat at the top of my hips. The balance was just off against the voluminous sleeves. Otherwise great idea! This cropped trench is everything! I love it more than I expected. It’s a wardrobe staple, cleverly updated with trendy details like puff sleeves and side ties - plus, it’s super flattering. And it's machine washable! I ordered the navy, and it's a rich, true navy - not so dark it looks black, but still a deep blue. The material feels like a classic trench and it's fully lined in matching navy fabric. There are two sets of ties (one inside, one outside), which let you adjust the fit. If you want to accentuate your waist, just cinch the inner ties. The puff sleeves are structured with an elastic band sewn into the lining to hold their shape. I usually order up a size (36DD) and got an XL, but there’s plenty of room left. I would not size up in this - I think it runs true to size. The length is great, too: I'm 5'4" and it hits right at the hips. Most of my outerwear and suiting comes from national boutique brands at 3x the cost - this absolutely looks and feels like something they would sell. This top has pros and cons. The top is well made with good stitching, no loose threads and good seaming. The material is very nice. It is not heavy weight but is not see through and feels as though it is of good quality. It feels really nice. On the right body type, this would likely be a beautiful top. My problem is that I am tall, so the waist just doesn't fit right. It sits too high on me, which makes it look off and uncomfortable. I also have a bigger chest, so if this were to work I would need a size up. The sleeves are very big and puffy, so if you like this look you will be in love. If you're on the fence about big, puffy sleeves, be aware they are big! If you are not tall/have a long torso, and you like puffy sleeves, you will likely love this top. This bell sleeved, wrap around blazer is structured and fitted. It's fit is true to size although I wish it had an extra half inch but if I went up a size it would look sloppy and lose its shape .
