I was immediately reminded that Cider runs down a size. Xlarge = 10. Although these for, there's a big difference between getting on fitting and looking good fitting. These are somewhere in the middle for me. The elastic waist probably helped some on both sides of that story. If you're within the Cider size ranges, especially towards the smaller side of them to get a loose fit on these I think you will like them. I think the key is to avoid much stretch in the waist on the actual fit, really just using it for ease in wear. The belt across the front is a nice accent to help hide any flaws you might think you see. The fabric is easy care. Wash and go with maybe a quick steam to knock any wrinkles out. The color is very neutral and can go the way of black accents, white accents, brown accents, prints, etc., very easy to match with if you can wear khaki. These really boil down to how they fit, if they are slightly too small for you at all they are pretty unforgiving. But a looser fit will be pretty cute and work appropriate. Read more

I ordered these based on the size chart and got a perfect fit. I am 5'4 and the length on these pants is perfect. I can wear them with flat shoes without the material dragging on the ground. I love the CIDER brand, they've become a regular staple in my wardrobe. These pants were just as great as everything else I've got from them. They do tend to run a bit small though, regardless of clothing type, so I *normally* size up. BUT, because the waist on these is elastic, I took a chance and stayed at my typical US size: large or 12-14. My measurements: 42C/34/40. And they fit great, even still a bit of slack left in the waist. I think the XL would have fit okay to be with loose, wide leg pants I like the waist to be more fitted so I'm glad I didn't go up like I normally would. Read more

Okay. I like the color. I like the fabric. I like the stylish little belt wrap waist part. But these really cling to my hips and butt and emphasize them in a way I maybe don't want for work. I'd rather not emphasize my hips and butt the way these work on me. These are only a maybe for me. They don't make my butt and hips look good or better. I feel like they just make me look fat. So maybe going up a size would help. Or me slimming these hips and butt down a couple inches would help. But these aren't just right for me. But maybe they'd work for you. I was so excited to order these straight-leg khaki pants, as I am constantly on the lookout for anything that is high-waisted (to compliment my mom-bod curves). I was delighted that these pants were true-to-size! I'm 5'5" and 190lbs for reference, and I normally wear an XL. I love the metallic accent loop for the belt to slip through in the front. The only attribute I don't like is the fold of the elastic waist in the back and how visible it is. I found a solve by tucking in my shirt and folding it over the waist edge to cover it. These pants are mid weight polyester that are great for traveling since they don't wrinkle. They are cut not too wide or narrow. The belt is a little odd - I might cut it off since I normally wear my tops long. It is bulky enough that you need to have your top tucked in. And it's a little too long. They run a little small. These pants are so nice and so classy looking. They are flattering on too. The material is good quality and these are made well, and its soft and comfortable to wear (fabric is 90% Polyester, 10% Elastane).
