Now this is a great lighter!!! I got this for my father for Father's Day. He absolutely loved it and so do I! Why did you pick this product vs others?: I chose this product over others because of all the features you get for the price. A quad burner lighter, cigar holder, cutter, punch, and poker all in one! I'm actually impresssed because each of these work extremely well. Others have one of maybe a few of the same features, but this really brings them all together with a really thoughtful manner of presentation. Size: The size is larger than a single burner lighter, but smaller than I expected. It fits nicely in the hand and doesnt require much hand stretching to acess all features. Flame strength: Flame strength is awesome!!! The quad flame is something that really works well. It lights a cigar very efficiently and doesn't over burn the cigar unless you cause for it to do so. Flame quality: The flame quality is great. Its blue, its strong, and all 4 burners do the same clean burn. Build quality: The brass that this is made of is very nice! It feels extremely well made. The price I paid would be equivalent of a cheap lighter, but honestly this does not provide that idea. Everything is well built and works as it should. Look: Looks awesome! I bought this item after losing a similar one in a white elephant gift exchange face off. This item made me glad to have lost the other, as this particular lighter has a lot more to it. Where to begin? First off, it looks beautiful and has a solid, satisfying weight in hand. The sort of art nouveau finishings on it really make it stand out. As I told my wife when it arrived, it looks and feels a bit like a prop from a Harry Potter movie. What I really enjoy though is the functionality. To have a cigar cutter, hole punch, gouge, lighter and cigar stand all in the same item is a big win. Refilling is easy, and I find the fills last a good long time. The quad torch lights instantly every time and makes lighting up an absolute cinch. I am not a regular cigar smoker--maybe 2 or 3 butts a year--but this has proven an ever ready companion. It's big enough to let you know it's there, but not so large it can't be easily dropped in a pants or jacket pocket. Makes for an exceptional conversation piece over cigars out on the patio, or at your favorite campsite, or wherever you make your journeys to Flavor Country from. The 'V' Cutter works awesome. Smooth channel, no fraying and very sharp. Nice hole punch attached along with a aerator pike for opening up those tight packed sticks. The aerator is a bit shorter than I'd like, but had the catch notches that not all of them have for better airflow. The lighter works great. probably could do some light welding with it.....kidding. The fuel window is extra easy to see and the lighter has a rustic, western etching and style to it. Read more
It's big and that's the point. It doesn't fall over, like the skinnier ones do. The cigar rest accommodates larger gauge cigars. The tools are all sharp and work very well. And the antique bronze finish is gorgeous on the all metal housing. It's definitely a show piece. Read more
Received the lighter as a Christmas gift from my daughter. I loved everything about this lighter. It's girth in my hand, this is not a small lighter, the V cutter, and the draw tool, all function at a premium level. The filigree on the case of the lighter is very cool. On the first butane fill-up, I did need to use a lighter tune-up tool to completely release all of the trapped air pressure before it would correctly fill with gas. Read more
