I've owned this watch for 7 years and it's one of my favorite watches to wear. As you can see I liked it so much I bought a black version too. It's very accurate, and it's big but doesn't feel that big on the wrist. It's not as heavy as it looks and sits flat. One of the things I like is the way the date is displayed. Showing 3 dates at a time really helps the acuity. Even though I have 20/20 vision sometimes on other watches, especially with a date window surround by a raised lip meant to match the raised indices, it can be difficult to distinguish 16 from 18 if there if a shadow. I can read the date at a quick glance. The capacitor hasn't degraded noticeably but I have another Citizen watch with the same movement that is 15 years old and will probably need a new capacitor in a couple-three years. Now for the one thing I don't like about this watch, the strap. The worse part are the strap loops, they're made from very stretchy leather and will become virtually useless in a short amount of time. On the black watch (which also has an identical strap) I went as far as replacing the loops with veg-tanned leather myself. I like the thickness just fine, but also the color in real life looks more like a baby poop tan, and not as nice as in the pictures. Also the surface treatment of the leather is "plasticky"... It just doesn't age well. Over the years I've switched the strap around a couple of times and even put the watch on a bund strap...it looks perfect on a bund strap by the way. I hope Citizen has updated the strap and the leather if they're going to be bragging about it. All in all a great watch if you don't mind switching the strap. Bought this in 2019. Very accurate, keeps great time, looks cool. Slap an orange strap on this and brings out the orange in the hour hand and the hour markings on the inner "hour" dial. Love the Eco-Drive (solar powered) feature. Never problematic. Love mine, you'll love too. Wear with jeans or dress it up. Read more

This watch is very nice looking, however, it has some design issues that make it quite uncomfortable to wear. The crown is absolutely massive, so it digs into the back of your hand any time you bend your wrist upward. The strap is also unbelievably thick, so it is not flexible at all. This makes it uncomfortable and difficult to manipulate through the buckle. Replacing the strap with a quality bund strap would help these issues and make the watch more usable. I was looking for a nice quality every day watch that was classically styled, had a date and was easy to read at a quick glance. This beautiful aviator styled watch from Citizen is perfect! It is very accurate and features the "Eco-Drive". The face of the watch is a solar cell that recharges the internal battery while the watch is worn. So you never have to replace the battery as long as you wear the watch more than once every six months. Features I love about this watch: 1. Hard mineral crystal face is resistant to scratching. 2. Awesomely cool aviator styling. 3. Shows 24 hour "military" time and 60 seconds right on the main face. 4. Has a date that's easy to read. 5. The watch is large and easy to read the time at just a glance. 6. Water resistant to 10 bar! Suitable for skin-diving! Which means I can wear it in the pool or the beach without concern. 7. Hands do glow in the dark which is slightly helpful. 8. Classy and beautiful watch with a classic genuine leather band. SWEET! Features I don't love: 1.What? No light so it could be easily read in a dark car at night. Meh... Conclusion: This is my first watch from Citizen I've added to my watch collection. It does everything I need and looks great while doing it. It also gets lots of compliments on the cool aviator styling and general good looks.
