Terrific. Works quickly and continues to improve over time. Usually, our tank water would get a bit cloudy and some small patches of green stuff would start to appear on the walls every 1-2 weeks, despite weekly partial-water changes & cleanings. After 3 Clarences (changing them out every 60 days), the water is perfectly clean at the weekly change, and we can even leave town for almost 2 weeks (the fish have an auto-feeder) and the water is clean when we return. The filters last longer, too - we don't have to change it every month since it now looks clean for much longer. Definitely worth it, and we are buying a bunch more! Read more
It cleared the water up. I’m sure it would have cleared it up quicker had I bought more than one. I will order more because I have a 75 gallon tank and Clarence couldn’t clean this one alone. Read more
IT WORKS! Our water was cloudy and now it is so clear!! It took about 2 days for it to clear up. Read more
Killed all my zebra fish in a matter of 24 hours. I've have had these fish for years without issue. Only thing different I have done is add this to the tank. It is no coincidence that they all died after putting this product in the tank Read more
Meh. These have not hurt my fish or nitrate levels, but have not seen a real benefit after 2 months of use. They certainly did not fight against algae blooms nor cloudy water. To be fair, neither did chemical additives (finally had to go the UV light route for the cloudiness that would not resolve with additives/ water changes.) For maintenance on a clear tank, they may help a bit, but I have had more luck with inexpensive filter floss, tbh. Read more
We were having such a hard time keeping a couple guppies alive in one tank and a beta alive in the other tank, we tried a ton of different things, even bought the fancy water from the pet store, but we kept losing the fish after a couple of months. We asked multiple pet store employees, they said we might have too harsh of water, even though we kept buying all the balancers and conditioners they kept recommending. We couldn’t figure out what was happening! The pet stores even kept returning the fish and ended up quarantining some of theirs. I bought one of these to try, and my problems were solved! I’ve now purchased at least 4 of them over the last 2 years and I’ve now had the same Beta and 3 neon tetras since I started using it! You can start to tell when the small tank needs a new one since it’ll start to get a little murky. I don’t know how well it does for larger tanks, might need a few, but does great for my 2 smaller tanks Read more
