When purchasing this bottle, I was only searching for something somewhat unique to reduce the amount of plastic I consumed and to encourage me to drink more water. What I didn't expect was an easy to carry conversation starter that would be a gateway to establishing other habits. I've gotten so many compliments on this water bottle that it's gotten to the point where it's almost annoying. I've also gotten to the point where I rarely drink anything but water, juice, or coffee. Most water bottles I've had in the past would eventually wear out, were annoying to try and drink from, were hard to clean, or augmented the taste of the water with a metallic or plastic taste. This water bottle, however, is easy to drink from, resilient, and doesn't affect the taste of the water at all. -- Update -- My initial order was missing a bottom seal pad and was damaged during transit due to poor Amazon packaging. The GM at clean bottle, Scott, reached out to me on Amazon and offered to send a replacement. The replacement arrived earlier today. It's prefect! The bottle is easy to carry and simple use. No Leakage like my last bottle because replacement has proper seal pad in the bottom. Overall, a solid product! I would recommend this one over any other water bottle on the market. Excellent costumer service. Hence, Five stars! -- Initial Review -- I purchased this bottle b/c the thoughtful design(removable bottom&quick open). However, I was disappointed when I opened the package(lack thereof). Leak! - water is slowly leaking out from the bottom cap. The bottom cap isn't tight enough to keep the water leaking out. Poor packaging - The product comes poorly packaged with no box or any padding materials. It's not surpise to found many starches on "new" bottle.(see packing materials photo below) Poor quility or poor quality control - Bottom cap isnt tight (see picture below), and a long extrusion on one side of the bottle. I was very disappointed by this water bottle. I purchased this model because I bought that it was unique looking and that it would be easy to clean. While it is helpful that the bottom unscrews during cleaning, you can't really fit our hand in the blue bottle, so you still need a bottle brush to really clean it. That was fine though, I didn't really hold that against the product. The big issue I had with it was that it leaks. The bottom does not but the top on mine does. When the bottle falls on its side or gets turned upside down, it will leak everywhere. I have included a picture illustrating this issue. The problem I had was the square design. I bought it partiall because it looked cool, but this is a case where form has been given more attention than function. I tried to open my water bottle while it was in a cup holder and I inadvertently unscrewed the bottom (the circular cup holder acted like a wrench socket). The water gushed out the bottom of my bottle and splashed all over my car. I would not recommend this water bottle. Read more
I saw this product and I was really excited about it, so much that I bought a friend of mine one of these too. However this review is about the one in the image above. When I first used it, I was really happy about it. Both ends were secure and no water leakage at all. The second time I used it after cleaning it, it leaked on both ends, it was a mess to clean up. The third time I used it I only used it like a mug rather than a water bottle and it was fine. then i decided to test it and sadly it leaked on both ends even through they were "secure" I sadly will retire using my Clean bottle. The lid seals are fickle. They're completely flat, so if liquid is stuck to the lid seal when you remove the lid, it will follow gravity and run towards the edge, where the screw is. Then when you screw it back on, the liquid that just moved is now outside the seal, and free to leak. The bottle WON'T have a constant leak, but every time you open and close it, stuff will leak. Every other bottle avoids this with either curved seals or ring seals. As for cleaning, the center of the bottle is easy to clean, but the lids aren't. The lid seals are white and can get spots over time. I don't know if it's stains or growth or what, but it will not come out once it happens, no matter how much you scrub. Everything else is pretty good though. So really it's just the seals. Read more
I really want to give this bottle 5 stars but there is one issue that I have had a few times. First, I will say that it is a great design and idea. I use my bottle all day every day. I use it for shakes as well as just water. With other bottles, there are issues with being able to clean the bottom of the bottle. This opening at the top and bottom solves that problem. The issue is the bottom of the bottle. It does not quite fit in my cup holder. If I try and undo the top of the bottle while it is in the holder, the bottom will come loose and leak. So I do not force it in the cup holder. Also, if I take it out of the cup holder and it was in there tight, the bottom gets pulled a little and causes a leak. You will not know about the leak until you take a drink and a small amount of water comes out on your lap. Now I know that sounds like a deal breaker but it is not. I just quickly figured out how to keep that from happening. If I were to lose this bottle tomorrow or mess it up in any way, I would pull my phone out and order another one. If you use a bottle for shakes too, buy this bottle. Read more
