What an amazing experience! I've had many problems with one of my ears going back all the way to infancy, and I know we're not supposed to put anything in our ears, according to every ENT (quite a few) that's ever looked in my ears. I know Q tips just push wax in and will compact it. The ENT that uses a vacuum to clean wax every few years tells me to use drops. Drops don't seem to get far enough down, like the canal is completely blocked. Nothing comes out even after using them daily for a week. I've tried squirting water in after a week of drops and just ended up with an ear infection due to water getting trapped in there! I tried drops with no result again recently and was about to schedule an ENT visit for yet another cleaning when I ordered these. The "brushy" end was terrible. Too big, too stiff, just not worth even trying. It hurt. The instructions say not to put the drops in your canal, so what's the point? Might as well toss the drops and the brushy end, hence 3/5 for value for what I ordered Next time I'll get the best value pack for the sticks and skip the drops. The "scoop" end is where the magic is! I slipped it very, very, VERY slowly while rotating it gently. Eventually, after several times of getting out only little bits, I was able to pull out a massive amount of wax and could suddenly hear again! I'm amazed at how quick and easy it was to finally resolve my issue. All I can say is doctors are right, we shouldn't be putting things in our ears. When you use these, be extremely careful. Go as slowly and gently as possible, or you may rupture your ear drum. Take your time and be patient, or you'll have even bigger problems. I will avoid using these unless absolutely necessary. I'm not going to use them just to scratch an itch or because I think there may be some wax I could remove, but when I do run into the inevitable blockage that severely impairs hearing a year or 2 from now, I know it's something I can finally take care of myself. These are awesome! Read more
Surprised the ingredient for the oil appears to be olive oil...made me wonder if i could have just gone to my kitchen. The ear cleaners work though be careful to be gentle as they are stiff and hurt if you are too rough on sensitive inside of ear where wax builds up. They say one time use but i personally have been able to use hot water to clean and reuse 1 of them more than once. This appeals to me so i am not throwing away bunches of one time use plastic. I would stop this if it appeared to be weakening and have potential to break inside the ear. However the plastic appears to be quite sturdy with gentle use. Read more
Works terrific. The oil really soothes your ear and dissolves any ear wax. Just put a drop or two in ears after a shower when ears are warm. Read more
