Came home from Las Vegas and the car wouldn't start. This baby came in very handy and helped to restart the car. I've owned other battery starters that depended on batteries and they ended up failing. This one uses a capacitor and a little lithium battery...so hoping it lasts longer. Read more
Good looking jumper. Size is good and is not heavy. Mine was D.O.A. I gave it a charge for more than 24 hours, like instructions said. Nothing. I called CLORE and after two days of calling I finally got somebody to pick up the phone. The person did not know almost nothing about the unit, but advise me to return it to the seller. I returned the unit but it takes a long time to receive my money back( in this case back on Amazon charge). Than I got an other unit from a different vendor and looks like is a problem with this one also. The capacitor is not charging from the (dead or not) car battery. It also does not charge thru 12 volt plug. When called, Clore offered an exchange with one of their units. It looks like their tech support does not know much of this unit. So for now until they perfect this I will pass on IT. Try not to waste your money in this. Read more
This is more of a "professional" jump pack than the typical ones you find. Some stuff isn't documented very well (or the manual is wrong). For example: it has a microUSB port but it charges off its own AC -> microUSB adapter and won't charge from a 5V USB charger. I'm not sure what you're supposed to do if you lose the power adapter. It has a barrel plug that says "charges ultracapacitor directly" but this is partially true. You have to plug it in, and press the "Jump Start" button and it'll charge the capacitor (using 10-15A through the barrel plug) only if the capacitor is already below some percentage of charge. The manual makes no mention of needing to press the Jump Start button to charge the capacitor. So you can't just leave the barrel plug connected at all times and keep the capacitor fully charged, ready to go. You can use "Reserve Power" button to charge the capacitor from the internal lithium battery but it is *really* slow and takes at least 60 seconds to charge to 100%. It's similarly slow if you use the barrel plug. You can force the unit into dumping power into a completely dead 0V situation by charging the capacitor and then holding the "Jump Start" button for 3 seconds. But there's no mention of this on the unit itself so you have to either have the manual handy or remember it. It's still not clear to me if you actually need to wait for the capacitor to show 100% charge and "ready to jump" before attempting to jumpstart a still-alive-but-drained battery. As mentioned before, it's so slow to charge the capacitor that you feel like you can make a pot of coffee before it's ready to go so I get antsy at 80 percent especially for a small engine jump. So overall I take a star away because it could benefit a lot from a better interface / instructions. Read more
It works amazing! But there is a bit of a learning curve to it. Would only recommend for experienced mechanics. Read more

So, I purchased one of these grossly overpriced jump boxes 6 months ago. I've used it a half a dozen times if that, and it's shot. It will no longer jump a vehicle (error message) and the led's on the display won't shut off until the internal battery dies. I contacted CLORE yesterday. They said they have a one year warranty, and I have to ship the unit back on MY dime. Quite honestly, I feel like I've been had. These things are EXPENSIVE. Clearly CLORE doesn't stand behind their products. Steer clear of this jump box AND this company. Don't make the same mistake that I did. Read more
