I had a challenging project getting wet basement smells and wet dog smells out of forgotten laundry for a friend who was laid up for a long time. After trying two loads by presoaking for 6 hours (the max recommended) and washing with a little more plus laundry detergent, I ended up with really nice smelling clothing, bedding, towels, etc., for the while family.
