Works very well on lime and rust, just remember per the instructions to use 6 oz of the product. This means that this bottle has four applications. You can use less product but, to get the full cleaning capability you need to use the full 6 oz. Even so, it is a reasonable price for getting rid of stubborn lime and rust scale. I like that the color is blue. If I do leave the product to soak it is evident that something is stuck to the toilet rim. I am very happy with this stuff. It is bleach-free so less dangerous than many similar products and septic system safe unlike the ones with lots of bleach. It did a very impressive job on mineral and rust rings in our toilets including one where the stains had been building up for many years. I applied the stuff, let it sit in the bowl for 15-20 minutes and wiped it around with a toilet brush. Then I flushed and removed the remaining mineral stains with a scotchbrite pad (I think a generic brand would work too). These stains were not removable with normal scouring powder or disinfectant toilet cleaner, both of which are very hard on both my hands and my septic tank. Read more
