I was very impressed with the overall quality and sturdiness of this clothes rack. It was super simple to install with one exception...the mounting screws. The mounting screws were very poor quality. The first one stripped almost instantly. It was an easy fix to change them out to quality screws that we already had. I can see that this would be frustrating if you didn't keep screws in your supply closet though. Once mounted it works very well and uses very little space. I mostly drape my delicates from this. It holds 5-6 pairs of boxer briefs and 4-5 pairs of socks at a time without issue. I can squeeze a couple more small items on it too. I like that it folds into itself, which it does relatively easily, but I tend to keep it open permanently. The metal rods are strong enough to drape a spin dried base layer shirt or pant. I've hung a wet long sleeved, button down shirt with it loaded with underwear and socks with no issue. As I get more wool clothing, I will need more draping capacity. I'll figure it out when that happens. Due to limited space in my laundry room, I had to mount it above a floor cabinet but extended it about 4" past the side of the cabinet. So I can only hang a piece or two to dry. The rest of my items must be draped over the rods. It seems sturdy enough, if mounted properly and enough space below, to hang at least a dozen or so wet shirts and/or pants (but delicate instructions usually say not to hang dry). The sheetrock anchors that came with it failed, so I used butterfly anchors I had in my garage. If you can hit a stud that would be best. It was easy to assemble, but I'm good at assembling things. There were only a few steps. Mounting it was a little cumbersome because of the weight and design, but can be done with just a bit of effort. I hope that helps. Read more

This product doesn’t support anywhere near 80lbs when installed with the provided wall anchors. The top screws all ripped out of the drywall when just one pair of jeans were placed to hang on the outer-most rod (no more than 5 lbs). This product creates a major safety hazard, especially for households with small children. I am attempting to reinstall with 150-lb rated toggle bolts which I separately purchased, but even then there is no way this device can safely hold 80lbs. Also keep in mind that the weight rating supplied generally means for items hung flush to the wall. So items hung on the outer-most rods will greatly reduce the weigh bearing capacity of the overall device due to higher tension load. I would love to see the manufacturer’s test of their claimed 80lb bearing capacity using the provided anchors, if it even exists. Read more
