Oh my goodness I saw this waiting in a long wait at the California DMV. I was trying to remain patient in a chaotic waiting room with children screaming and running back and forth to the bathroom. Which was out of the view of the parent and where men came in and out of but I digress. A gentleman sat down across from me opened up his MacBook and that’s when I saw this ingenious gadget. One of the best gadgets purchased in years! The strength of magnet is strong enough to hold the phone with a MagSafe cover, no issue at all. Whenever in a meeting with participants sitting next to one another where everyone else’s notebooks, mouse, power cords water bottles etc pretty much bury the meeting table, phones tend to get “lost” or “buried”. A few times I literally thought I had misplace my phone. Now, it’s right next to the screen, there’s no need to reach out for the phone to look at it. I enjoy using this item when my laptop is on my desk, but due to have a bigger phone when I use it on my laptop it tend to lean to one side because of the weight. All of my family and friends keep asking me where I got this device from. It is absolutely so convenient. Initially I bought one for my laptop so that I could use Zoom on my phone and type on my laptop. It's just so so convenient and extremely strong...it can hold the heaviest of phones! I ended up purchasing a 2nd one for my laptop because I love the device so much. The concept behind this product is appealing, and the magnetic hold is very strong. Unfortunately, that strength is also its biggest problem. Once attached to my MacBook, removing it caused significant damage. The force required to detach it resulted in the screen cracking from the back through to the front, damaging the LCD on a very expensive laptop. There is no clear warning about how permanent the attachment can be or the potential risk to your device. Buyers should be aware that once this is applied, removal is not simple and may cause damage, especially on thinner laptops. While the idea is good in theory, the lack of guidance or warnings makes this a risky product. I would strongly advise caution before attaching it to any high-value device.
