Great for a girl and her dog!
I love this tent! I have a super lightweight backpacking tent that is mostly screen and I wanted something different to go camping with my dog. It’s a bit bulkier and heavier than I’m used to but for a car trip it’s no problem. The sides are perfect with half height windows and I’m not worried about it tearing if he paws at it. -It’s definitely not full blackout, but it is the right amount to keep it dark and cozy in the morning so you don’t wake up from the sunrise but can still see enough to be able to get to the door (bonus points: it looks purple inside in full sunlight) -was not the easiest setup I’ve ever done, not that it was complicated but since the poles tie/clip on instead of going through a sleeve of some kind it took me a hot minute to get a feel for how to raise it up by myself. Definitely recommend doing a trial before you take it out especially if you plan to set it up yourself, by the second time it was much easier but had a small learning curve before I was as confident and comfortable as I am with other tents. -front screen room was a must for me, my dog treats it like it’s a crate/kennel and puts himself to bed inside it when I’m still up and about at the campsite. For me it’s so much better than needing to leave the tent door open for the dog and letting in all the bugs. The screen room is nice in that it is fully enclosed and has a floor to keep bugs out, but I was not expecting that the floor would have a strip of screen the entire width of the tent. It makes sense that it is a drainage hole to keep water away from the tent body in case of rain/flooding, but I did put a small doormat type of thing over it by the door because I was immediately worried it would rip especially with the dogs claws. -Overall great size for a full size mattress, dog bed+ 85lb dog and still plenty of room inside the tent and screen for bags and shoes and room to change. -Not tall enough to stand fully, so a foot pump mattress was a little annoying but doable for me at 5’4”. Would be much better for 2 smaller mattresses you can inflate outside and slide in the door or a mattress with a pump. -Coleman tents always seem built pretty well and long lasting, I’m not sure about how waterproof it is since luckily it hasn’t rained when I’ve been camping this year, but will probably waterproof spray it next year anyways. Overall, good size, great for a single with a dog in a relaxing type of setup. Good size for a couple, or even a small family would fit with their extras/bags in the screen room. Not a bad setup, did help with the sunlight, screen room is nice, and takedown was easy! Read more
