It's not perfect but it's one hell of a tent. It's fairly easy to setup taking me about 20 minutes the first time and in pitch dark too. It's spacious and I really love the built-in screen room. There's no bug or rain so we used the screen room as a storage and stepping stone to the tent. I really like it that my shoes and dry in the morning and other things that we might need is right there without taking up inner tent room. The darkroom technology was great allowing us to not be bothered when the sunrise early in the morning. It fits a queen size airbed and a full size foam pad and I still have room to safely use the tent heater in the corner. The only thing that this tent could be better is if the screen room is properly covered by the rainfly. The tent is stylish and it's just the right size. Read more

Everything was great about this tent's high quality. My only suggestion is if they could make a 6 person instant or easy up that's with the dark room/cooler tent style. Putting the poles together is a pain. I also liked the little awing part in the front of the tent in case you have a little stove or want to store chairs and shoes. There is also just enough room to standup in to help you get dressed. It's rained a few times and been extremely cold while I have used this, it's not made for keeping the cold out really but water hasn't been a problem. This has also held up against leave it up for more then a week or so then other tents, less uv fading and able to repeatedly use it longer. The best feature I'd say is that seems be a bit more weather resistant then more other tents and that the insides stay slightly cooler then other tents in the sun. Down side is that it isn't a instant up. Read more

I browsed a ton of different style tents before purchasing this one and I am mostly happy with it. We took it on its maiden voyage this last weekend and noticed a few things holding it back. I’ll start with the pros: -Darkroom technology was great. Definitely not as bright as all my other tents. Kept it cool! -The porch/screen front area is awesome! Our dog liked chilling in it and when it was sunny we set up two small chairs inside to shelter from some sun. -Spacious. For a queen sized air mattress comfortably with room around it for your bags and stuff. -Super simple set up. I set this up by myself in about 10 minutes including stakes are rainfly. Sets up like most tents with nothing fancy or weird about the process, which was nice. Cons: Thin material. When setting it up we noticed a tiny hole in one the of walls and when breaking it down o noticed the same size hold below it on the floor. Looked like whatever made the hole was the same pierce that made both. Easy fixes so I’m not too upset. -When sitting in the front porch area for some reason there’s a strip of mesh that’s on the floor where it connects to the main tent. Obviously since it’s at the front door of the tent, it sees the most travel and will rip fairly easy. After just two days of use a hole tore through that mesh part. -the zippers in the front looked like they were barely sewn on. I posted a picture for reference. Looks like it’s already separating from the tent which is why I wouldn’t recommend this tent for rainy weather conditions. Overall it’s a decent tent all around, but I would advise against using it in anything but perfect weather. Read more

The "dark room" technology is great for camping where you will be exposed to direct sunlight, such as at a music festival. It fits within a 10' wide space and underneath a 10x10 canopy (if there's no frame in the center). Avoid sidewalls to maintain good air flow - this blocks the sun well enough without additional sidewalls on a tent or around it. There are large vents on the main structure which are covered by the "rainfly." When you use the tethers to properly lift the sides, you get a slight separation between the two pieces which allows for great airflow and shade. The front and side vents are closable with zipper flaps. Set it up so one side faces East and keep that flap mostly closed to block the sunrise. The back has the largest vent - keep that side unobstructed. The porch is perfect for setting up a blowup couch or chairs. You can leave shoes & sandals there so as not to bring dirt into the sleeping area. Super easy to setup with 1 or 2 people. Breaks down into an easy to carry bag - great for storage. Even though it's a 6-person tent, it's great for 2 people on a queen blowup mattress plus luggage, clothes, even a cooler. Tall enough to get dressed in for most people. Durable and flexible enough to survive strong wind gusts (desert nights). Just stake it down on all sides. There's a plastic ring on the center of the ceiling - hang a lantern from it with a carabiner for late night hangs. 6/5 stars. Read more

I bought this tent back in 2020. It’s now 2024, we’ve used it several times and it has proven its worth! We live in the PNW where rain is always possible, and we’ve been sufficiently poured on while camping. This tent, with the fly, definitely keeps you dry, but some water may leak in through the side walls below the fly, and the screen room will most definitely get soaked since it’s not covered. Water has never pooled on the bottom, and you’ll only know the walls are wet from touching it. I really like the Dark Room Technology. Of course it’s not going to block out ALL of the light, this is just a tent after all, but you won’t be waking up with the sun like other tents. This tent is easy to set up and take down. We’re pretty proud of the fact that we’ve never had to remove the stitches in the bag to make it larger! This is the nicest tent we’ve owned and I would recommend it to others. Read more
