In my younger days I used to go to the expensive outdoor stores to find the best name brand stuff (aka - expensive!). My last sleeping bag was a mummy bag from an expensive retailer that - truth be told - took me on several snow-laden overnight camping trips. These days, though, I'm not snow camping, so worrying about temps below freezing isn't on my radar. I'm a pretty big guy (6'3" and not "super skinny" with it) but this bad fits me like a glove. IT *might* be a little snug for some - especially if you like to sprawl out a bit, but height-wise, it's a fantastic fit - my head fits in the top-pocket with ease! Other bonus items here: there's a SUPER-AWESOME bonus pocket on the inside for keys and a phone (iPhone 13 MAX fits - and you can juuuuust close the velcro closure on the pocket). Also - those folks at Coleman did it right with some strings on the bottom so you can roll it up and tie it (if needed), but the stuff sack provides all the necessary containment. Finally - my favorite part of all: the zipper! First off - like my "expensive bag" it zips from the top AND from the bottom - so you can be covered and still kick your feet out if you want. But the top zip has a special trick to it: WAY too many times I've dealt with a stuck zipper on a sleeping bag (gets caught on the material and gives me that "moment of claustrophobic panic" while I try to get it unstuck. THIS zipper has a special cover on it that prevents it from catching on the fabric. It's a simple thing, but SUCH a good feature. Getting it back into the stuff sack is easy-peasy (I prefer to stuff the bag into the sack - but if you wanted to roll, that would work too... the stuff sack is even "pre-compressed" - all you need to do is cut away the tag to open it up (for my test, I just stuffed it back in without removing the compression tag - zero issues!). Bottom line - thrilled with this purchase, as long as you're ok with a snug fit, I'm sure you will be too. Love it! Read more

WARNING: This is an absolutely great bag and constructed very, very well. However, when ordering realize that this bag comes in many sizes. It has sizes from young kids to large adult sizes. So please be sure to look at the sizing chart before ordering it. This sleeping bag that I got is meant for shorter/youth so it fits my wife and daughter, but wouldn't fit me and my two sons being 6' and over, and mummy bags fit narrower. If you like lots of room for your feet and to stretch out then this is not the bag for you. This really is a great sleeping bag, you can feel how nice the nylon material feels and the fill is more than enough to keep you warm. The zippers are heavy duty while still having a smoothness to them. It has attached tie down strings for rolling it up, along with a bag that it goes in. Believe it or not, this sleeping bag really will fit back in the bag! Read more

So far this has been to Channel Islands, will be headed to Yosemite in a few weeks, and then Catalina in the fall. Comfortable, well made bag. Stands up to use and was warm enough on some cold nights. Will update after the next trip if anything goes wrong, but my expectation is that this will hold up well and give a good night's sleep! Happy with this bag. (BTW - it's not quite so hard to repack as some prior bags we've had - but we may just have more practice now.) Read more

This is a very lightweight sleeping bag, so it was easy for my husband to pack and carry. He said it was comfortable and very warm. He was out in moderate weather--about 47°--but it was the desert, which feels colder than more humid areas, and he stayed comfortably warm all night. It tucks around his head really nicely, keeping his ears warm. The bright red color is also nice for safety purposes. This is a great quality bag for the price. Fwiw, he's 6', 205 lbs, and felt this fit well (though it didn't have much length to spare). Read more

The Good: -Lightweight -Warm -Good construction -Mummy style -Good zippers -Can actually put the sleeping bag back into the included bag The Bad: -None The Bottom Line: I just used this sleeping bag on a camping trip and it worked really well. It was warm and easy to zip. It is a mummy style so it felt very cozy. The best part about the bag is that it actually fits back into the included bag. Overall, I would recommend this Coleman sleeping bag for its warmth and pack ability. Read more

This review is for the Coleman Tidelands Mummy Sleeping Bag. The Coleman Tidelands Mummy Sleeping bag worked well, my kids used it when camping in the backyard with their friends. The weather that night was 50 degrees and my older son said it kept him warm. The sleeping bag is opening with a zipper, and gets it name from being shaped like a mummy tomb. Overall this sleeping bag worked well, was easy to use, and my son said it was comfortable and kept him warm. Read more

I love this sleeping bag. Used during a camping trip. It was so comfy (summer night in the woods) that my toddler took ownership of it. I specially like the combo of colors, red and purple. In addition to all quality materials I was impressed with the ingenuity of the bag. As everyone knows, one of the challenges of camping is making all those things fit back on their original bags and packaging. Sometimes you just can't do it. Well, this bag size extends after you peel the external label from the bag. I tough that was genius! Worth of an award! I highly recommend. Read more

...from Big Lebowski... Anyways, this comfy adult sized sleeping bag performed well when we were camping up North a month ago. I've never owned with that is "mummy" shaped but I stayed warm without having to cover up the bag with a blanket. Read more
