My husband loved his lighter for his cigars Read more
I got mine at the smoke shop where I work, so I got it at wholesale pricing. That said, I wouldn't have minded paying full price, as this thing is great. Super slim, so carrying it in you pocket is no big thing. Flame is solid for the size of the lighter. It's "windproof" in the sense that most torches are, but a good wind can always put it out. The trigger is fairly easy to pull, too, so people with arthritis or carpel tunnel shouldn't have much issue using it. My favorite part is the cover over the flame portion. It slide out of the way as you pull the trigger, so the components inside are never exposed to things like pocket lint. The window to see the fill level is also a solid design choice. I wish more brands would include one. I got the rose gold and dark blue version, and I've had multiple people ask about it because it really just catches the eye. Definitely worth the money. This is a piece of junk and not worth 60 bucks. Mine was defective when I received it and I happily returned it. Save your money and get the 18 dollar zippo cigar lighter. That thing is a beast! Read more
Very cool looking lighter, windproof, works great with cigars or other things you light like cigars. Read more
This is a slim lighter. The silver part on the side is where you push to light. On the bottom is a small round wheel to adjust flame height, in the middle of that is the fill valve to add butane. On the side is a see through emblem one can see the butane inside from. The flame is a slim jet type. When I first got this there was enough butane to light it and the flame was very difficult to see but there. The flame is lit via a Piezo type ignition so no batteries needed I had to add butane and used what was supposed to be good quality but I couldnt get the lighter to work. I asked for help diagnosing this issue and the rating will go up or down depending on the cause. An example is if I use a different butane recommend and all works it will be user error and I will add a star. If it works reliably it is a nice thin lighter that is easy to carry. I hope this is the case Read more
Full disclosure: I have a love/hate relationship with Colibri. I feel Colibri makes some of the most well-designed, attractive and functional cigar accessories on the planet. Unfortunately, I've also experienced multiple issues with quality control - especially with their lighters. The Colibri Daytona was my absolute favorite lighter from a design standpoint, however after two of them failed in a matter of just a few months, I swore off Colibri. This was for a couple of reasons: 1] Of the six Colibri lighters I've owned, none have ever lasted a year. I have $20 lighters that are still going strong after 5+ years of trouble-free use. 2] If you look at Colibri's warranty page, you'll see that for warranty service you are required to return the lighter (insured) at your expense; you also must include a check for $9.50; finally, you must include the warranty card. This policy is weak, especially for a company that sells high-end lighters. I refuse to pay for warranty service, and you shouldn't either. Colibri's policy is anti-consumer, and they would do well to change it. Note that I only use Colibri lighter fluid in ALL my cigar lighters, as I've found it to be the cleanest and most reliable fuel source available. Anyway, with the above in mind, when I saw this new slim lighter from Colibri I was impressed with its beautiful design, and so I (somewhat reluctantly) decided to give them another shot. First, a little about me: I am an avid cigar enthusiast, and I've amassed a large collection of dozens of cigar lighters over the years. I generally keep 8-10 lighters in my rotation at any given time. I smoke 2-3 cigars per day. When searching for a new cigar lighter, I prioritize several features: a fuel window, a large tactile ignition switch, a toolless flame adjustment wheel, good build quality and high reliability. While I can't yet vouch for this lighter's reliability, this cigar lighter satisfies all my other criteria. The style of this lighter is among the most elegant and beautiful I've come across. It's truly stunning looking, and the lighter's aesthetics combined with the slim profile makes this a perfect lighter to slip into your suit pocket for any formal occasion. The single-jet flame is easy to adjust using the oversized wheel at the bottom of the lighter. I love the control and accuracy of a single-jet, and Colibri nailed the design here. Even the large fuel window was carefully designed, showcasing the Colibri logo while giving you a view of the lighter's fuel status. The entire right-hand side of the lighter functions as the ignition switch. The switch offers a firm "click", and doesn't wobble when pressed. The flame port automatically opens and closes when pressing/releasing the ignition. Very nice, and another excellent design choice. Finally, the lighter is presented in a beautiful, gift-worthy box. This would make a wonderful gift for the cigar enthusiast in your life. This is another carefully designed lighter from Colibri, and so far its function has been flawless. I'm awarding this lighter 5 stars - for now. If it fails, I promise to return to this review with an update and revised rating. I truly hope Colibri has resolved their QC issues, as I absolutely love this lighter so far. Read more

I got this for my father- come to find out, to light this thing, you need to have strong hands to push the button. An older person who has arthritis or does not have the strength/grip a younger person has is going to get really frustrated trying to maneuver the tiny wheel that adjusts the flame and trying to successfully depress the side to ignite the flame. When he can finally get it to work, it is great. But not something I will purchase again or recommend to anyone. Read more
