Nice portable bottle; not a fan of the straw
I've been using collapsible water bottles for a number of years now and love the convenience of folding one up and sticking it in my pocket or bag when I'm done. My old bottles were all plastic though, so I was looking forward to this silicone one. I like the look and feel of this bottle while the twist action to fold/expand this bottle is surprisingly satisfying and very functional. This bottle also (mostly) stands up on its own, unlike other collapsible bottles. The cap includes an elastic band to keep everything firmly closed when collapsed, and can serve as an awkward handle while carrying it otherwise. Folded up, this bottle is a bit boxier than I expected. It is still pocketable, but barely. My main complaint about this bottle is the straw and cap. The straw is fixed to the cap and not removable. In addition water tends to spurt out of the vent hole if you squeeze it while drinking. Straws like this are also annoying to clean (resulting im a bad taste if you dont fully flush it clean), and I personally prefer just a gulpable spout. I would like this bottle much better if I could swap the cap for one without a straw, which may also allow it to be a bit smaller when folded. A carabiner to carry it would complete the path to perfection. Read more
