This is an excellent coat that works for me down to around freezing. As a guy who has owned many down jackets, the Columbia breathes remarkably well and is very light weight. For most days when it warms up to around 40 or so, it is my goto jacket. But I also have a Columbia Powderlite II that is a little heavier, breathes very well, and I'd take it down to upper 20s or so. The Powderlite is a little longer than the VooDoo Falls. But if you put the Voodoo Falls inside to layer the Powderlite? It slips right in. You'll be set for the next ice age. Enjoy. Read more

Great jacket. Lightweight but very warm especially if you layer underneath with a fleece or hoodie. It runs a little big. I'm 6'2" 200lbs and the large fits me well and allows enough room for an additional layer underneath. But even so it's still a nice fitting jacket and seems to have all the room you need in all the right places without being baggy. Read more

I needed a jacket that could be layered, sealed in the heat, is water resistant, and easily packed. We had another (more expensive) brand for comparison, this definitely beat it out in terms of function, weight, and packability. I wore it all over NYC in 20-30 degree weather, layered it over a sweatshirt, and it definitely kept me warm. Easily packed it away in a backpack for the flight home. Can’t go wrong with this one!
