I bought these to replace an OEM set that had become damaged. When they arrived, I plugged them into my phone to listen to some music, and immediately noticed there was no bass. I unplugged them so I could have a side by side comparison with the original headphones and noticed a few cosmetic differences as well: In the connector, the spacers between contacts are white instead of black. The connector on the original also has a small bump on one side which the new set does not. The original set has R and L painted on the plastic of the earbuds themselves, the replacement has very tiny R and L stamped into the rubber grommet where the wires attach. It's worth noting here that the picture used by the seller matches the original set, but not the set they shipped. The wires themselves appear to be thinner on the new set, but the insulation seems to be made of stiffer material. The molded parts on the replacement have more visible mold lines, and even have some flash that wasn't trimmed off. The Samsung logo on the earbuds is dull and splotchy on the new earbuds vs. solid and shiny on the originals. Overall, I wouldn't mind the cosmetic differences, but the huge difference in sound quality should give anyone second thoughts about buying these--so I included the cosmetic differences just to help people spot the fakes.
