At first, you would (understandably) think that this stand should be lower than $9.99, since its only function is to aesthetically position your controller within your gaming setup and doesn't even have the sometimes-expected charging capabilities. That was me as well. But once you have it in your hand, you realize how high the built quality actually is. Between Hori, PowerA, BD&A, PDP and other very, very few third party accessories manufactures that have a good reputation for their offerings, this PlayStation officially licensed product from Controller Gear has its mark pretty high. You get a nice, sleek look at the PlayStation logo, a sturdy controller that will never fall off, which is very convenient and helpful for one-handed control that we tend to do at times for smaller tasks, like scrolling through apps. or checking on our downloads in the notifications section. Plus, the hidden compartment is practically seamless, a great addition for storing the earbuds and other small stuff you may use with the PS4 (which I can't think of one right now besides, you know, the earbuds). *modding required. Remove the "kickstand", add a medium Command picture hanging strip, and you too can have a good looking wall holder for your controller. Bonus points for using the black Command strips. The medium strip allows the perfect amount of clearance from the wall so the L2/R2 triggers don't hit. See pics and have fun! Remove the "kickstand: by pushing the pin out with a small punch or makeshift tool. A piece of sturdy wire of proper dimension works well. Push it out until pliers can grip it, then remove. The pin is friction fit and comes out with little difficulty. I searched the length and breadth of Amazon for a decent controller mount, and this is what I assure you, the best choice. I would not use any other product for wall mount of controller. It also works great for the desk/table, but it really shines magically clinging to your vertical surface of choice. Read more
This is just what I've been looking for, I like collecting all the different ps4 controllers and wanted a good way to display them. The item is perfect for what it's meant for and it's a official license product plus the packaging is nice, my only issue is I think it should be alittle cheaper I feel like 6 or 7 bucks would be a good price point for this. Like it says in the product description, this is a stand for your PS4 controller. It doesn't do anything else. It does not hold any other type of controller because it's not molded for it. It also does not have a passthrough for USB cables to charge your controller with, which is the assumption that I made when I bought this. However, I can't fault this product for not having features just because I couldn't be bothered to check and make sure, so I'll rate this product based on what it's supposed to do. What it's supposed to do is be a stand for your controller. It doesn't charge it, it doesn't support controllers other than the Dualshock 4, it does exactly what it says and nothing more. Got exactly what the product description said. Looks nice and the controller sits in it perfectly. My only gripe that I have is that the bottom doesn't have any kind of grip or rubber to keep it from sliding around. I ended up using some thinly cut command strips to stick it to my enertainment center. Read more
These stands make grabbing my controller very simple & easy. It also adds a nice way to display it, and it helps with spacing - since it's resting vertically. I've dedicated a space in my entertainment center to hold all of my video-gaming controllers, and this item perfectly perfectly fits & compliments the molded shape of the Sony Dual Shock 4. This is a nice stand and it would be 5 stars if the fit wasn't so tight. If you have any kind of skin or case on it, the controller doesn't fit in the stand easy and when you go to pull it out, the stand lifts off the table with the controller. Read more
