These are great shorts. I love the style very much and get lot's of compliments. The fit is a little big, I ordered my usual size and should have ordered one smaller. I have to tie them about 2 to 3 inches tighter and they look baggy. But I don't mind terribly. I am 6 foot 4 inches tall and weigh 230 pounds. Other than the slightly bigger waist all is perfect. Describing the material, it is different, it's silky but a little firmer. Almost like a swimming trunk but not quite. Lighter weight and more breathable. They do dry quickly. As a general rule, I hate shorts. I hate wearing them. I feel like if that sounds like you and you absolutely are being made to wear shorts - these are the shorts for you. I found the material comfortable. The fit was good, not too short like an 80s track short and not too long like a 90s board short. These were the goldilocks of shorts. They looked nice enough that I didn't look out of place at the resort I was at, but didn't break the bank for someone who is going to seldom wear them despite being a great product. I don't like to review anything 2 seconds after it's arrived, and especially, before enough time has gone by to address durability, so.................. I can only discuss initial impressions. Shorts were as described, as far as color, style. I'll add that I'm not having much luck finding shorts that are of a heavier gauge of fabric; most end up being thinner or lighter than advertised. Have washed and worn them once; it appears they run a little smaller than advertised. I like them roomy. These are XL, and actually feel a little tight, even though I have not gained any weight recently. Great fit, husband says they’re comfortable, and they look great with casual t-shirts and polos. They definitely do come very wrinkled as you can see in other reviews, but put them in the dryer for a few minutes and problem solved. These shorts are a great value for the cost, they are lightweight but still a decent thickness so that they aren’t see through, the pockets are a good size and all together decent quality. Read more
