My 3-year old has autism and enjoys sorting activities rather than imaginative play, and this matching game is perfect. He plays with it over and over. I also appreciate that the pictures on the cards are actual photographs of the included toys, which is very important because my detail-focused son would have been frustrated if they looked different! I’m a speech and language therapist and I use this toy to build language skills and children ages two and above. This toy is wonderful and the concept is great. It is so important to teach children vocabulary and categorization. For older students I work on letter sounds, reading and writing with this toy. My only feedback would be to print the mats with the thicker and sturdier paper. I could see how little hands will rip this very quickly. Also, some of the objects are a little funny looking and not so recognizable such as the cow and the sheep. Quality of the sortables was much better than I expected for the price. Bought for two year old so she likes to use them as toys in addition to the sort and match. We chose to use baggies to keep each set separate. Would work well in sensory bins. Read more
