Pleasingly surprised.

Quality sifter, easy to use
The media could not be loaded. For the most part this sifter works well. It can hold about 2 cups of flour before it needs to be sifted, and the sifting process is easy and handle is comfortable. It's completely dishwasher safe, and comes out just as pretty as it went in (unlike some others I've bought). However, the flour doesn't typically all get sifted so I spend time whacking it with my palm to get all the flour out. Also, the flour spills out of a hole near the handle (where the wire comes out). It's already sifted flour, but can miss the bowl if you're not watching it or using a smaller bowl. It's a small amount so doesn't affect recipes, but does leave a mess on the counter which is just one more thing that has to be cleaned up. The bonus plastic piece that comes with it seems a bit flimsy, but I've not used it yet. Read more

Poor design
This sifter is very hard to use for people with hand arthritis or motor skills issues. The hand squeeze is hard and only releases a very small amount with each squeeze. Additionally, it did not come clean in the dishwasher or hand washing. The flour got stuck in the space between the mesh and the bottom grate and would not come out. We are just throwing it away, not even worth returning. Going back to the old hand crank model. Read more
