Product works, helped me clean the heater core on an older car. Definitely blew some gunk out, wish the product was a little bit better built, feels a little cheap, but it was also fairly priced. I work on a lot of my large family's vehicles, and one of my least favorite jobs, right up there with stress tests and root canals, is replacing a heater core. Actually, the stress test is a lot quicker, and they give you pain meds with the root canal, so heater cores would be the worst. I've honestly never used any sort of pressurized method of flushing a cooling system, or as in this case, reverse flushing one, but I was pleasantly surprised by how relatively simple it went, and relieved and impressed that it blew out a considerable accumulation of crud, while not blowing out a hole in the system. I had to do some jury rigging to get a good seal, but once done everything proceeded without a hitch. I replaced the coolant using an air assisted vacuum set up, so already having the compressed air hose right there was convenient, and I had no worries about random airlocks when done, so all pretty pain free. Best of all, the heat actually blows hot enough now that you really notice it. The gun and all but the male air coupling are plastic, so not especially inspiring as a lifetime tool, but for what it is, with thoughtful handling, I suppose this might work for years to come given its mission. The quick connect couplings are something that I've always had a love hate relationship with. I love the idea of their convenience, but I hate that they are so restrictive of flow, and they always leak, sooner or later. These were fine, with no leaks so far, but I won't be surprised if and when they do. The set does represent a reasonable value, in my opinion, because if it saves you from having to do one single heater core replacement in your life, it is absolutely money well spent. I did get a kick out of the serious roll of Teflon tape that was included. It was a full half inch wide, and there was probably the equivalent of two whole rolls that you might buy at a home center if you went looking for just the tape. I recently got a foot operated hot and cold water mixing, lavatory sink valve, and I didn't get a scrap of tape with that one. Just kidding. This was one of those tools that I ordered thinking "well, it'd be nice if this actually works as well as they claim", but I usually expect the worst, so this was a pleasant surprise in the end. I’ve been looking for a cheaper option to offer to customers when they come into the shop with poor heat out of their HVAC, as heater core replacement is typically expensive. So far this tool gets the job accomplished. Pros: ✅ Decently built ✅ Handles hot water and 120psi air pressure just fine ✅ Surpisingly decent verified results ✅ Multiple hose adapter sizes Cons: ☑️ Water hose quick connects are cheaply made ☑️ O-ring in quick connect was incorrect size and failed immediately causing leaks ☑️ The smallest size is 3/4”. Heater hoses are typically 5/8”-3/4” I recently replaced a heater core in a Ram for poor heat output. I took the old part and used this tool on it for 10 minutes with hot water flushing both directions. Cut open the side tanks and saw some very optimistic results! It was very clean for how clogged these can get. Once I installed a correct size o-ring in the quick connect this has been a very nice tool and service to offer to our customers.
